Like most on the list has gone backwards at an alarming rate, his effort in finals versus WC and Essendon were top notch but maybe that was his peak as a footballer.

He shouldn't be our no.1 ruck. So he's tall... That's about it.

Zero athleticism, zero ability to read a bounce/ball up, zero ability to play other roles.

Our club has made some pathetic mistakes

That's what I don't get.

He's had some great finals games, but the rest of the time in H&A etc he goes back to Mr Invisible man and seemingly a bit peahearted. Odd player.

Nice of you to turn up just to put the boot in. Some things never change.

Thy bit tired of your state police attitude.

Warnock has done absolutely nothing this year. He can barely tap to advantage. Sauce is going from strength to strength ... the club made a mistake pure and simple.

Some of us do not have the luxury to spend the sort of time you spend on here and after a loss like we had on Saturday it's good therapy to vent.

I am sorry you think Warnock is a superstar but to the rest of us bleeding blues think he's a waste of space and personally I am sick of looking at his ********* clueless head ... that incidentally we paid the friggen farm for!

Edited for accuracy.

Come back Jacobs ?? :(

Watched the Crows match today, Jacobs was not only influential in the ruck but he chased, harassed, took marks and had a presence around the ground as well.

I don't think we could ever say that about Warnock.

More quality work from yourself.

I have seen Warnock look like a slick athlete - .skimming across the paddock, taking marks, picking the ball up off his toes on the run...at training...

game day he seems to use all his energy extending his arms up vertically and tapping the ball somewhere and then resting ..in a game he is clumsy and slow and clumsy and slow ...he also lacks any aggressiveness - unlike Kereuzer he has never hurt anyone in a tackle - the way he let the Demon's noobie ruck dominate him yesterday was almost as bad as the he let two non ruckmen smash him last week..

Warnock has developed into a tall ruck sized witches hat - if he gets suspended , it will because his hand slipped from a jumper pull to a little slap - so embarrassing to watch this bloke wear the Navy Blue .

Seriously, what happened to this bloke?

I used to comment on his kicking, stating on many occasions to mates that he's a pretty good kick for a ruckman. Vast contrast this season and for a while actually. :(

Seriously Sheik the guy has irked me for such a long time. The vibe he gives off (whether it's true or not I cannot say) is the vibe of the playing list. Does not care and it just interested in the pay packet. Able to tell the girls he is an AFL footballer.

He and this list don't care about glory and what it takes to achieve it, they just care about Saturday night and how bloody cool they think they are.

Seriously compare this list to a Geelong, Port, Hawks, Essendon, Bulldogs, North, etc ..... Not one of the limpdicks now anything about team unity, togetherness, all for one and one for all.

How can we expect anything until this changes ... will it ever with this list?

When we recruited him, he spent the first year out with injury and got paid his $400K for doing so. We new he was injured and would need that recovery period out of the game at the time we traded him.

Naturally if you are going to get paid for doing nothing like that it becomes the norm for not only the player but the others around him.

Absolutely agree with you ... The club has made some really horrendous errors with this list which has bred a shocking culture through it.

Let me ask you sheik do you see any hope for this list ... it has talent but can you see its culture turning around?

I don't, I think its loser mentality (tanking), it's I'm too sexy for this club attitude (Gibbs) and I can do whatever the frig I want attitude (Fev) has killed this list ... and the one man I truly feel for is Judd ... god bless him. Without his input my god where would we be now?

You have asked an honest question Brazil and you will get an honest answer too, and that is a strong 'no'.

There is clearly a lack of leadership amongst the list, can you imagine our players coasting like they have if there was a Luke Hodge or Joel Selwood in the team ?? They'd be the first to go and look them in the eye and tell them how it is. They demand 100% commitment and in return they give you the same.

I'm sure that the vast majority of the players at Carlton are really good guys, it's just that there is a malaise amongst them that is hard to change without getting rid of a good proportion of the list.

I am the president of a large cricket club (7 teams and 120 players), we have only been going 10-years yet we have won 19 premierships. The reason for that is that we make it very clear that our core business is to win premierships, the social side and camaraderie is a by-product. We also have a motto of "cricket ability optional, sense of humour compulsory" meaning that if you can't handle some good natured ribbing then this isn't the club for you.

During the pre-season period, I interview all of the newbies and if they don't want to adhere to our overall standards, then they are not invited to join. By that I mean we have a "no dickheads" policy as well as them wanting to play in a premiership team.

We hold regular meetings with the captains across the season to review the players within their squad and when necessary, drop guy down the grades and recruit others with more talent & consistency to keep pushing the team to success.

We also make a point of winning hard and then celebrating hard. When was the last time our players actually had a few beers and a BBQ to celebrate a good win ?? I bet the club dietician & fitness clowns would be in a straight-jacket if it was to happen but FFS, they are young men playing a professional sport and it is the one way that barriers can be broken down. Socialising is an integral part of building the camaraderie needed for success.

Whilst my cricket club may seem a little leftfield when compared to a professional AFL club but the Carlton players certainly have a "can't be fagged attitude" which is never going to take anyone anywhere. Any of the guys who genuinely harbour ambition and drive get that sucked out of them by the unwillingness of their team-mates to make the sacrifices needed to reach the highest level.

The Blues must review all of the personnel at their disposal and cleanout those who (i) don't have the never say die attitude, (ii) don't have the requisite skill set needed for AFL seniors & (iii) aren't genuinely team-orientated.

I'll leave you with this thought, how many of our guys would be prepared to take a pay-cut like the Geelong guys did to ensure success ??

Therein lies the problem IMO.

I always thought that a player like Jared Brennan could have been a played as a ruckman. Big leap, but more of a midfield player, rather than just having a big giraffe.

Had skills to burn but lacked application, he picked & chose when to go and when not to.

Too inconsistent for me on that basis.

I just mean a player with a great leap, that could match it with the big tall guys, but was more mid sized and able to be more of a midfielder. Brennan was just the best/first player that illustrated the type I was talking about.

Just looking at the AFL draft camp records, Kade Kolodjashnij seems to have massive hops, imagine if he could be used to create a ruck contest, but as soon as the ball hits the deck your basically up a mid on the other team.
