Opinion Robbo Top 50

Any list that doesn’t have dusty as number 1 isn’t worth reading.
Wouldn’t have Bontempelli in top 5 let alone number 1.

I know you support Richmond but let's take off the yellow and black glasses for a little bit here.

One of his better lists, but still not great.

J Cameron and T Lynch are the wrong way around.
Franklin should be nowhere near it.
Oliver is too high
JDG and Greene are far too low
Petracca about 40 spots too high

I understand it's a predictive list, but no way will Lynch be worthy of that no.8 imo.

I'd have Charlie Cameron there (Who he has at #35) over Lynch.

I'd have Lynch and Riewoldt in the 30-50 range personally.

Franklin shouldn't be in it, he barely played last year and isn't fit this year, at 33 yrs old.
Charlie Cameron over Lynch? Bloke went missing during the finals and not for the first time either

How?

I said Sicily is a better field kick than McGovern. And he is but I did not put McGovern down in any way whatsoever.
You said: "Sicily can kick the lights out and starts many of Hawthorn’s attacks with his aggressive kicking over distance, which is something Gov doesn’t do."

McGovern does in fact do that.

Hurn does that not McGovern. Gov is a good kick but they get it to Hurn to launch more often than not. And the stats back that up.

Same goes for Sicily.

Not sure why your knickers are in such a twist.

Sicily is a better field kick than McGovern. That is a statement of fact.

Actually JDG is about right, he needs time on the park to prove so. Potentially yes a lot higher probably in the 10 - 20 bracket.

Agree on the rest particularly Bud, and Oliver like JDG needs to prove potential.

LOL at Tom Lynch being like 3 times higher then Ben Brown.

Ben Brown literally has better stats than this guy in every single stat.

Brown has won multiple premierships?

Hurn does that not McGovern.
Is there a rule that only 1 player per team kicks it out of defence?

You should apologise to all the people you offended by underselling McGovern's kicking.

The Gov DOES attack from HB, ok not to the same magnitude as Hurn or Sicily and agree Sicily is a better field kick but he's better than most in the competition.

Other very good field kicks are Gov and Hurn, arguably better than most in the competition but not a Sicily.

32 is overrating Cotchin.

That puts him in on average the top 2 at every club.

At Richmond alone there are 4 ahead of him (Martin, Lynch, Grimes, Riewoldt) and Prestia probably gets him now as well.

There are very few clubs that wouldn't have him in their 2 most important players if he played for them, so yeah, 32 works.

Leadership and the ability to influence games matter more than a few extra stats.

Get over yourself.

I never said one bad thing about McGovern. Not one bad thing.

Brown has won multiple premierships?
Talking about individual stats not team stats.

There is so much evidence that supports why Ben Brown is a better player than Lynch but I can’t even be bothered mentioning them all.

Hence I used the words “more often than not” meaning Hurn gets it more often than McGovern.

Again, a statement of fact.

Not necessarily, Gov takes more intercept marks, Hurn attacks off HB more with his field kicking than Gov. What Gov doesn't mark (if anyone can find such footage) Hurn does.

I’d take Lynch TBH Is a more versatile, maybe dynamic is a better word, key forward.

Brown kicks goals no doubt, but if the two traded places I think Brown would struggle a little alongside JR8.

Re: Gov vs Sicily

When you’ve got Hurn in your team you want as much footy going through him as you can. Hurn comfortably a better field kick Sicily and Gov would be close, we just don’t get to see it often enough.

That said for the record I have a man crush on the Gov.

Different forward line structures.
Lynch getting A+ delivery in the forward line.
Full forwards job is to kick goals and Brown has proven that over the last 3-4 years easily.
I’m just amazed how he wasn’t AA last year it is just incredible.

Vs Brown who gets the call kicked to him every time?

I’m not knocking Brown, belongs in the list, ahead of Buddy but not Lynch.
