Does anyone else think that Russel Robertson's year is highly over rated?

Just think he does not perform in the crunch games.

What are your thoughts?

yeh his 7 goals to bring us back from 6 goals down against the cats and win us the game and keep our finals chance alive was extremly overratted. it was a nothing game for us and a nothing preformance, especially since most of his important last quarter goals were kicked on scarlett who is only the best FB in the league.

he was nearly as overratted and non preforming then as he was vs the dogs when he kicked 6 or when he kicked 4 vs the dons including the match winner.

oh and 6 vs the dockers to nearly win us that game, not much of a preformance there.

6 vs the saints wasnt very good there either. i mean the fact that he had rarly any delivery means nothing

do you actually know anything about football sir?

also i forgot to mention that kicking 69 goals and coming 3rd in the goalkicking table is a shocking effort, especially considering that he is a huge 184 cm and often has a taller opponent on him.

an even worse effort considering he spends time out of the 50 at CHF in some games 2

I know enough about football to know that he did not kick a goal on scarlett. Rooke played on him all day except for the last 10 mins due to an injury. I know this because i was at the game.

I also know that i like going fishing.... Caught a big melbourne supporter this evening. Catch of the day... The burley worked extremly quick tonight. :D

Given his size and style as a marking forward, to have a season like he has had is nothing short of fantastic, definately worthy of an All Australian spot and MFC Best & Fairest. As melbournemartin mentioned, the last 3 weeks have been phenomenal in keeping our season alive. What more could you ask for?

actually that is incorrect. i can quite clearly remember atleast one incident where Robertson beat Scarlett one on one quite clearly. the incident i am reffering to is when he took a chest mark in the goalsquare with scarletts arms all over him from behind. if you don't believe me then watch the replay and i was at the game to and right behind those goals when it happened but like i said, watch the replay if it isn't to depressing to see your side completly die.

How wrong you are! Scarlett may have attempted a spoil but that does not mean it was that was the player he was defending.

Read what I wrote before you start speaking $h!t AGAIN!. You're way too much fun!

What scale are we supposed to measure it on? He's had a career goalkicking year and saved our arses in two crucial late season games. Seems like a success to me. What else was he supposed to do? Win the Brownlow?

At least put some effort into your trolling.

Why would i put effort into it when 'suckers' like you respond everytime?

I think you might want to purchase a thicker skin!

I am currently trying to peel some thick skin off your mum's gargantuan rump "Come on boys, enough skin for all of us!"

Welcome back Clad.

Coming from a guy who thinks Henry Playfair has a huge future in the game, and he gets 2 kicks a week.

You were at the back of the line when intelligence was given out. Poor soul!

Have a read of my second post on this topic. You will notice strait away that i intended to fire people up. Unfortunatly you are not smart enough to realise this.

If i really thought Robbo had not had a fantastic year i would have picked another player to fire dumb $h!ts like you up.

I released the burley and got the catch of the day strait away. Rex Hunt would be proud!.

For the record, I think Russel will be All Australain.

I assumed that Melbourne supporters were intelligent. Thankfully you have set me strait, i will no longer be stereotypical with supporter groups.

Evidently, there are some (maybe 1) intellectually challenged Demon supporters. You are the prime example of this. Thank you for setting me strait. Now, go give mummy a hug, grab you're dummy and head off for you're afternoon nap. If you're a good boy, mummy might give you some ice cream!

I think you need the following things if you have nothing better than come onto a public afl forum and bag a player that has been one of the best in the league this season.

a) watch some football so you understand what you are talking about

b) get a girlfriend so you don't have to waste our time and yours

c) get a hobbie perhaps since it obviously isn't football because you have the football intellect that suggests you have rarely seen a game. Either that or you are just plain dumb

d) grow up, I don't mind kids on these boards if they act mature. You sound as if you are either 12 years old or older but extremly immature.

Dear hot shot,

a) please advise what i have announced that is incorrect with the exception of my first thread which was aimed to stir the intellectually challeged (i.e. you). It is eveident that you are trouble detecting sarcasm.

b) I have no trouble with the ladies. You on the other hand may have issues (i make the assumption that you are attracted to ladies). And for the record, your mother does not count as having a relationship with the opposite sex. Goodluck with adding to you're tally of zero before christmas 2016.

c) Refer to a). Evidence suggesting that i am dumb would be great.

d) I know you are, you said you are, so what am i?

Oh, I think I finally get this thread.

You posted your opinion which you believed was right, realised it was completely wrong with no real facts, and then tried to say "you went fishing?"

The only thing you caught here was yourself making a dumb post, and then trying to get out of it. Pathetic.

Don't worry, I saw that one. It's the one directly after MelbMartin gave you plenty of facts pointing to Robbo having a stellar season, worthy of AA selection.

You then realised that your post was completely wrong, and then tried to palm it off by saying you were fishing.

Nobody here bought it, and you looked pathetic. You, sir, are the one that isn't too bright.

Gee, you got me. Did not realise i was dealing with a genius. Sorry, i take it all back.

I had not been listening to all the hype from media personalities about robbo's year, then i witnessed first hand in round 20. i still did not believe he was in career best form.

By the time i realised what i said, it was too late so i decided to palm it off as fishing.

You're name is'nt Sherlock by chance is it?, because you're detective work is second to none.

Please note that a high degree of sarcasm was intended throughout this post. Just thought i would point that out to most! Some may have thought i was serious!
