Robbo's Future?

Bets on when he pulls the pin?

Will he last the season out?

I'd love to see the high-flying Robbo of old return, but with that kind of injury, hes going to struggle. Hopefully he gets a few games to say goodbye, he deserves a proper send-off, something we couldn't offer Neitz.

I wouldn't think he'll retire mid-season, they'll be very careful with his injury.

It would be in the best interests of the team for him to play out next year and retire though.

It really depends on how well his injury has healed(no pun intended).

If it's looking like he'll get back to full fitness with minimal limitations as they keep reporting, then i'd say he's got at least another 2 seasons in him. If that's BS and his tendon is still f_cked Brodie Holland style, then we might never see him play again.

It's a really hard injury to overcome but all that i've read about Robbo is that he looks like he'll get back to close to what he was prior to the injury, but i don't think that'll really be known for a few months yet. Big plus for me is that he's the only one not on track for round 1

Robbo is a champion and will be back for sure. I wish more of our players had his tenacity and passion. Would love to have seen him made captain for 2009 and beyond but I think that his chance had passed him by. Club will nurse him back and not rush him into the team. With the side as it is, we need all the experienced players out on the park that we can, to lead the young guns over the next few years. So ..all going ok, I expect Robbo to play for at least another 3 years.

If he can kick arnd 50-60 goals next year might be offered 1 year, and depends on what Newton dose this year and if we take Watts. Thats my opinion.

Hahahaha.

I'll give you a million to one that Robbo kicks 50-60 goals a year.

I don't think it's that funny Bartram, Robbo kicking 50 is not unrealistic considering your odds, I woulden't mind a piece myself.

Do you know how many times Robbo has kicked 50 or more in a year? Ever?

Once.

You think at 30, on the back of no pre-season whatsover, and the loss of the attribute that made him unique as a forward, his vertical leap, that he will turn back the clock and kick 50 again?

Not a hope in the world.

He's more of a chance than Juice, that's for sure.
Juice would be at evens.

Cheers fellas though, easiest five/six bucks I will ever make. Only shame is that with the exchange rate, it will be worth SFA.

Personally i don’t think robo will lose his spring... from memory his left achilles went bung.. he tends to leap off his right when flying over a pack.

I expect him to play until end of 2010 or 2011.. depending if his body holds up in other areas.

As I recall the injury was to the right achilles, but not to worry, he actually jumps off his left like most right-footers do (there are {confused} exceptions like Matty Lloyd, but he's actually right-handed anyway).
I too hope he sees it out until 2011.
