Charlie Curnow is the most over-hyped player I think I've seen.

I get that this list is in part predictive, but the bloke has done nothing - yet.

Lachie Neale isn't in the top 50 players in the AFL? He is streets ahead of Viney and Heppell at the least.

Daniher in the top 50 after missing most of last year and not even getting a full pre season this year as well.

All Australian Breust last year not in the top 50 players now?
you realise that it is based on what he thinks will happen in 2019, right?

Well Ben Cunnington is a lot better than Neale, so he is the real WTF.

Ben is actually knocking on the door of the top 10 if he goes on from last year, so to not make the 50...
Cunnington knocking on the door of the top 10?

In terms of this coming year, I actually agree with you. He’s going to get a lot of extra attention and our midfield won’t do him any favours. Can see him failing to meet expectations.

2020 and beyond though...look out.

Not sure if Robbo has jumped on the bandwagon of journos predicting the Crows for top 4 this year, but if he has, then de facto in my opinion Tex should be on this list somewhere.

Structurally for me he was the Crows most important and influential player in 2016 and 2017, before injuries derailed his 2018 season.

If we’re going to make top 4 again in 2019, 100% he’ll be a key driver of it through his unrivalled ability as a big man to create scoring opportunities and lift the performances of his team mates.

He's an undoubted talent, but the output is way off the hype.

Jesse Hogan has delivered as a young key forward, but I doubt he was even in the conversation.

Have to agree. I love Charlie but was surprised to see him in the list at all. Thought Murphy or Simpson would be the other player we get in (if anyone).

I don’t think it is that contentious. JK at 7 is probably slightly too high, and I would have Yeo and McGovern ahead of him from our side. Riewoldt was better in 2018 but JK was either injured or coming back from injury.

I think as of this year JK will not be recognised as a top 10 player again. He will have a couple more good years but he is banged up and we have younger options that will push for spots and lower the reliance on him.
I've said this before about a number of players, but I think an underrated part of what makes a good player is getting on the ground consistently.

e.g. Nicnat is a great ruckman, but given his record of the past few years, there would be plenty you'd take ahead of him, just because you can be fairly sure they'll give you 22 solid games.

We all hope the good players stay injury free, and nobody can predict such things with complete accuracy, but realistically, the likes of JK, given his age and recent injury history, you wouldn't be putting down any large wagers on him playing 22 games of H&A footy. Given that, while some might consider JK to be the better player, you need to ask yourself, would you prefer 22 games from Jack (who almost never misses a game) or 16-20(likely?) games from JK?

He’s a talent but he’s all potential still.

Best game in terms of goals was round 1 last year and most came from a new 50 metre rule interpretation which they softened significantly after that.

Rare that I agree with a Tigers supporter but this is true.

I'd also take Ryder over NicNat
