Well, seeing as i havent come across any other threads about the shocking bad luck (to go down like that in a tackle thats simialr to one that happens hundreds of times througout a season), I just want to say as a non- Saint that i hope he makes a speedy recovery and returns to the Saints A.S.A.P.

Terrible blow not only as he is still their best player, but to happen the season he is made Captain i feel makes it harder still.

Knowing the workrate that this bloke thrives on, im sure that come the first round 2002 he will again be leading the Saints out for the first game next year. At least i really hope so.

Good luck to him.

I was quite upset at the time.

so now for the time in over 10 years st kilda will be without the big 3 harvey, lowe Burke

The reason I started that thread on what players from other clubs do you respect was because of Harvey....I was really disappointed for him last week when he got injured.

Absolute champion, remember him destroying us at Waverley a couple of times, but always a fair and modest player as well.

Good luck to Robert in his recovery.

Yea, its always sad to see a top player go down. But as is characteristic of all champions - he will be back!!

Stan Alves has a point too, there could be some good in all this. He has suffered a bit with little niggling injuries of late, so he know has about 9 months or so to really get his fitness back to 100% by the start of next season.

agree with you and stan here smokin, this forced rest might just add a year or two to harvey's carreer.

harvey going down is the official low point of our year. now that the big 3 are injured it is make or break time for quite a few fringe players. it is a great opportunity for the youngsters to establish themselves and the fringe players to put forward a case to not be delisted at year end.

for those who don't step up malcolm will be waiting at the end of the year with his pruning shears ready to cut the dead wood.

Definitely Grendel,

The coaching staff have had to stop him from training so hard on numerous occassions because of his incredible workrate.

It wouldn't surprise me to see the great man back in Round 1 2002 either.
