Terrible news and Bob is a great bloke and one of the awesome personalities of our game while being an outstanding footballer for so long.

Don't give the game away mate and look forward to seeing him returning next season. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

This would be like losing lenny hayes when you know you are going deep into finals with a real chance at snatching a flag

If its just his knee and bob thinks he can go again he will go again
Look the dogs might be fantastic at the moment but its a long season and it usually takes a couple to get up there and have a sniff at a flag
You never know, the dogs might just not quite make it this year with low experi3nce but next year, bob comes back and they are ALL cherry ripe to have a massive crack.
I hope he goes again and they grab a glag and he retires as a 300 game premiership player

Strikes me as a guy who would be devestated at whats happened, but in a week or two would be down at every game cheering on the guys and semi coaching them as a capt from the sidelines and being 100% involved and not thinking about himself, but thinking of the greater picture of the team

Go the dogs

Do not go LARS!!!
Dogs are not ready this season to win a flag and Bob is a young 33 and playing career best footy.
Have the traditional, come back next season and with Crameri and co back reach your 300 and have a genuine tilt at a Crawf style flag.
He has LARS and goes down again it could stuff his 2017 and then it really could be lights out for the champ.

You can if you want.

A bit tough. Your club hasn't won a flag for 62 years, and the moment you win a couple of matches people start complaining about your advantages in the fixture :) More power to you, a Western Bulldogs as a genuine premiership contender is precisely what this competition needs.

I'm hoping for the best but I just know that it's the worst. If he can somehow come back next year then that's pretty much the only way he plays on.

All the best to Bob. Hopefully he features on more shows like afl360 because he provides great insight and would be great in media when he retires.

Sickened when i watched it on the TV during the game. Very good player, thinker, and a nice guy.

At his age, he has to think about the best surgery for the rest of his life, not footy. Too many who take the options for returning and end up with ongoin pain and joint restrictions, follwoed by replacements.

Yeah I agree with this. Bevo said he was planning on going on again next season, so hope he does traditional reco and gets himself absolutely right for next season. LARS carries too many risks I think. Especially for after footy life.

Was so shattering to see him go down and made the result pretty irrelevant in my mind.

Yeah I felt awful for him when I heard this. Good player and seems a good bloke.
Hope he can get back.
