I feel sick.
I don't mean that as euphemism for "I'm extremely upset"
I mean literally I feel sick.

To be honest I'm not overly familiar with the negative health impacts so if they're plentiful it's obviously a no go. I fear otherwise his lovely family will convince him that a year of rehab with the possibility of not coming back as good as he was will be too much. You can't seriously expect that? So unfair for his future welfare.
It'd be good if he could walk post footy or play properly next season.
What are the downsides of Lars again?Footy can be so F*****
He has to try LARS, even just to give the playing group (and us) hope he'll be back this season.
I teared up a bit earlier too, and can't remember doing that after any injury ever.Absolutely cruel scenario this one. I am in tears for our Captain.
Is LARS at least an option?Hearing it sadly could be the whole year
Me too.I feel sick.

Nope, Tony had a full reco.Is SARS what Libba Senior did back when he did his knee in 1998?
Did his knee in Round 4 and was back by Round 20 or thereabouts?
Not an expert by any stretch, just know it's not as intrusive but generally not as reliable. He took a long time to get back to his best after the last surgery so let's roll the dice. We're due some luck, could add to the fairytale. What are the downsides of Lars again?
I know it's risky with infection and may have long term implications, and not many of us would advise taking on those risks to a 18/22/25/27 year old with a few years ahead of them, but at 33, weighing up pros/cons, risk/reward and all that, surely it comes into consideration?
This is based on how I saw it almost 10 years ago so may be hazy, but I remember when he came back from the 2006 reco, it took him a good 18 months - after the 12 month lay-off - to get back to his true pre-injury self. That was at the peak of his career, it's going to be worse at 33/34.
Lars would not only see him possibly coming back to play a role this year but also mean he's more likely to be capable of being a vital cog next year.
And if he wants, he can test the Lars graft while jumping off the podium with premiership cup in hand in his 300th game.
Worst case scenario and he re-does it game #1 back, who on Earth in this industry would begrudge him or the club giving it a crack? I'm typically in the conservative camp with most issues of club/list/injury management, but there's certain times you've got so little to lose that you throw out the rule book.
Shit news if an ACL.
LARS??
All the best to Bob. Champion in every sense of the word.
Welcome to the western bulldogsI'm gutted for Murphy and all Bulldogs this day. A champion of the game that deserved so much more. Sorry.
All the best.
