Let's not bury Captain Bob just yet.
Being at the game, I didn't see the replays however I didn't see him have that excruciating immediate pain normally associated with an ACL. Whatever Bob and the club decide to do, I wish him all the best. A true modern day legend of the AFL.

Bob would have no existing Cruciate ligament so pain would be minimal. Remember Smith playing on last year for ten minutes after doing his. I'm guessing Adcock was recruited to replace Bob and Boyd when they retire so hopefully he can step in.Not ACL's are "too" painful though. Apparently there's about 30sec of very sharp pain & then it goes numb. From memory Luke Darcy walked off when he did his ACL, others need to be stretchered off. Looking at a couple of pics though his whole kneecap seemed to be out of place as well, that would indicate significant damage inside![]()
I've done both knees and barely felt a thing both times. Feeling is like a rubber band snapping in your knee, with a sudden burst of heat which dissipates after 20 seconds. Then it's just very tender once the swelling kicks inNot ACL's are "too" painful though. Apparently there's about 30sec of very sharp pain & then it goes numb. i know right just have that feeling i had back in the 09 prelim but maybe worstFeels like we just lost a prelim again. Going to take a while to get over this I think.
That last minute was the worst minute of football I have ever witnessed.
So flat right now.
Just tragic what happened, but really happy with how the boys played. They can hold their heads up high, and come back bigger and better.

Same feelings here Wetdog. Our supporters were super extra passionate today.
