You're joking right wiz? You'd take a carp 'ruckman' (sticking a big bloke in the centre circle and telling him to tap the ball does not make him a ruckman), some kid who's never done anything in the AFL and a washed up Brodie Holland (who has serious achilles problems) for one of the most promising ruckmen in the competition??? I'd rather have Gilmore do all the rucking on his own in '08 than take that. Who would you dump from the list to fit those 3 in?

ETA : With ruckmen being in such high demand, what do you think we could get for Gilmore?
 
Fair go. Some of you guys have obviously been sniffing around the Eagles.
When you have two ruckmen on your squad, why would you even think of trading one?
Pick 14, who gives a rats clacker for pick 14 (and Holland - reject Holland). We might get a tall ruckman who needs three years development (sound familiar).
In the meantime Sandi breaks down again through overwork and the same nutters panic that Fred's, barber's girlfiend heard from the local wino who just happens to be best friends with the CEO that someone might want to go home.
Remeber all you pesimists, Pav was going home too!
Warnock will be as good as Cox. Who do you want him to be playing for?
He's not going anywhere.

At least this year we may have some bargaining power, next year if he decides to go we could be done-over like the mob up the road. However, I doubt we will trade Warnock while JLo is still so far away from the end of his contract. This time next year we will be 12 months closer to the end of JLo's contract and if he is still not right, then it would be much cheaper us. I doubt the club would trade Warnock while JLo is still on the injured list.

Having said that, I wouldn't be happy with pick 14. We may be accused of over-valueing our players, but this guy has fantastic skills and could really be anything. I can see him winning a Brownlow, that's how good I reckon he can be. Is there a better young ruck prospect in the AFL at the moment? Maybe Leuenberger, but not many others.
 
Warnock is a required player and wont be traded, we only have two rucks with him and good ones are hard to find.

As for him going home yeah sure maybe he is homesick, that's natural for a 20 year old. Another season over here and he'll probably start to get used of the place and not want to go back, if he does next year then so be it. No point in worrying about it, better off thinking positvely.

14 and Richards and Holland ....what a crap offer.

Warnock stays and if he wants to go ...he can go next year when his value is even more.

Its comments like this that justify everyone calling Freo supportes 'dreamers'.
 
warnock has played 7/8 games for us and were already thinknig of trading him, shame fremantle shame, we are yet to see a fully fit sandi and warnock combo and really at the age of robbie we really should give him another 2 years to develop futher but because he is such a talent he has improved way beyond expectations, think about dean cox, he didn't get any good before 23 i think (feel free to correct me here i'm just dribbling) but yeah, let's at least give him a chance (50 games)
 
So the only reason to trade him now is because we're scared we'll lose him next year for not much? Thats hitting the panic button a bit early. And then what? we draft a 17 year old ruckman. Its him and Sandi. We desperately need him to stay and you guys are so scared of losing him you want to get rid of him. Some people are blinded by draft numbers. Pretend we had picked Warnock with pick 5 a couple of years ago, he looks a lot better now. Still want to trade him for those Collingwood guys?

now thats just ridiculous.. everyone in the whole of Australia who watched collingwoods finals series knows that richards has no trade value at all.. collingwood must offer pick 14 aswell as a player.. just interested in what the freo supporters reckon would be fair... freo are clearly looking for a midfielder so perhaps one of these

14 + egan
14 + holland
14 + davis
14 + toovey
14 + 2nd round pick
any others ideas??

Nah, you've got nothing to worry about. Fremantle would be off its freaking trolley to trade Warnock. He's one of only two genuine ruckmen on your list. He also looks like an enormous talent. If the 'brains trust' at Fremantle trade him, I'd be forming a lynch mob if I were you... I doubt it'll get to that point, though.

Sorry, but none of those would get close to what we would consider. He is under contract.

14 and a Reid or Brown might if he was uncontracted. It would have to be the deal of the decade for Freo to consider going into the draft this year with one fit ruckman on the list as Kram said.

Not in the current market. Pies are desperate for a ruckman who actually has talent, Freo are desperate to keep said ruckman. That makes him far more valuable than those rookies. Supply and demand determines worth here.
