I'm suggesting Pick #14 + Richards + another player. The "other player" is the one that would be decent quality, hypothetically.

Never said Freo wanted to trade him. Just that club is scared he might do a runner next year and are keeping that in the back of their mind.

How about #14 + Richards + Shannon Cox? We rate Cox (another WA boy) highly, and probably wouldn't do it either, but just another thought...

Not sure if I followed your post, but that sounded like a "no". :p

Interesting for us to sound these out anyway, I'm not sure that Warnock is better than Wood to the extent that we'd want to throw in another player of Cox's ability... but then again I don't know what Brisbane would demand for Wood exactly either.

Dont no anything about Cox mate. Except he has a terrible tattoo and stayed out to late in Adelaide one night. Havent seen much of him play TBH.
 
He was punished for leaving the hotel, the rumour is that they were actually visiting family of Leon Davis', there was no suggestion that they were out drinking, FWIW.

Nah, either the Crows or the Pies get ripped off.

The Pies aren't going to want to give their Pick #14 to Freo and fully compensate the Crows for Hudson. Maybe if that 3rd rounder from Freo went to Adelaide instead, and we threw in a player for them... nope, still doesn't work.

EDIT: If you guys were getting Ray and another first-rounder in Pick #14, you could send your second rounder (instead of your 3rd) direct to Adelaide, and we could send you Guy Richards to back-up Sandilands.

All you heard was a rumor. Its fine bringing a rumor and discussing it on our board. But hearing a rumor and claiming that its completely true is not acceptable.

Similarly many thought it was common knowledge that Bell was going to retire.

The eagles would have got twice as much if they traded Judd last year though.

I'm not saying we should trade Warnock regardless of the offer, but if a good deal is on the table and through his discussions with the club he has given the impression that he will be departing in 12 months we should conisder trading him now. If Harvey is confident that he'll be at the club long term then obviously any enquiries about him should be rejected regardless of the offer.

dom, that's sounds good in theory, but I'd like to see Freo go for the flag in '08 and I can't see it happening if all we have for ruckmen is Sandilands and Gilmore. If Warnock wants to go next year, he will be in huge demand - we might not get exactly what we want, but unless he's happy to walk for nothing, we'll get a reasonable trade. I'm sure there will be a young WA guy wanting to come home next year that we could get if he does leave.
