We did a similar thing with the 2020 draftee's. Who do you think will end up being the best of our 3 early 2025 selections?

edit: I couldn't find the 2020 thread to relive all of that hope.
All going well, Robey seems to have the attributes to be the best. I’ll back him in. Sharp seems the sure bet though. Farrow is a bit of a speculative projection. He’s a player you trust your club recruiters’ judgment on.

I said Sharp as he has the highest floor.

But if they all develop to their potential, Robey has the traits to be a superstar. The quintessential goal-kicking big bodied mid we've been crying out for. A real game-changer.

I don't know enough about Farrow other than his midfield potential and good kicking skills, which is very promising.

Based purely on watching highlights, I reckon Sharp is by far the surest to succeed. He is the anti-McGrath - goes into a contest knowing where his teammates are and with a plan for what to do with the ball when he gets it. I know he's a big fan of Jobe and seems to have a similar knack of winning the ball in a contest/stoppage, drawing oppo players in and handballing it out to a player in space.

Robey has the upside of being that powerful 20+ and a goal a game Mid/fwd which could see him be in that top echelon of players (dusty, trac, danger) and due to that he must have the highest potential. But jury is out to see how he can translate that to an AFL system against the biggest bodies and most skilled men.

Due to the fact Sharp has gotten it done against grown men for years now, people talk of his 'low ceiling'. All of his accolades and achievements have come to his detriment. He may not have the X factor of others, but he ****en knows how to play footy. The sky's the limit for what he can achieve, with his hard work and perseverance, I wouldn't be surprised if he has a few AAs to his name when it's all said and done.

Farrow excites me though. Realistically, I think he could be the one to become A-grade. Has the attributes, but he had to work for them- and will continue to do so. He saw the rewards of listening to feedback and putting his head down and improving. He's a footy nuffy and will continue to improve throughout his career. He plays Pendlebury esque where he doesn't get sucked into the pressure and seems to glide around the ground and with ball in hand. If he can make it as a midfielder we will be extremely grateful for the class he will bring.

Thank you Matt Rosa, we love you <3

He reminds me a lot of Jobe. But is a much better ball user and has a bigger frame going into the AFL.

Of course Jobe bulked up a tonne and improved his kicking an astronomical amount, so it remains to be seen whether Sharp can reach the ceiling. But he has the most bankable floor of any player in the draft in my opinion.

I'm going to say Farrow. We do better recruiting half backs than basically any other position.
Hope they all become great.
Part of this i reckon is its the easiest spot to play on the field for a fair while now

Its where alot of the guns of the competition start, theres a reason for that

Easier to find guys that can do what Dale, Sinclair, Redman, Maynard, Houston, Farrell, Amon, Impey, Zorko, Saad, Zuthrie, Humphries, Lloyd, A.Roberts, Johanissen, R.Maric, Bowey, Florent, Noble, W.Powell types can do than find the

Trac, Bont, Naicos, Rowell, Noah Anderson, Dusty, Cripps, Mcluggage, JDG, Heeney, H.Young, Finn Callaghan, W.Day, Butters, Rozee, T.Green, LDU, Baz can do

Chad Warners, Newcombes are rare

I said Sharp.

Sharp is possibly closer to his ceiling now than Robey and Farrow, but that relies on us developing their talent.

Fingers crossed all 3 make it and put pressure on 22 under 22 side.

we need some stars.

He reminds my of Jeremy McGovern also

What I like is how well they mesh together as selections. If it was just Sharp it'd feel safe but not as exciting, if it was just Robey it'd feel like the weight was all on Sully's shoulders. Robey and Sharp balance each other out well in terms of upside + bankability and Farrow ties it all together as a mix of both.

Yes, whilst also addressing issues in each third of the ground:
Kicking & Transition
Contested ball and Leadership
Goalkicking and X factor

If all 3 make it as mids however, Oh boy....
