Loving the Tassie boys having a great time in that pic. AJ is a nuggety little comer. Got pole-axed late in the game but bounced straight back up. These blokes want to play footy for Carlton.

PS: On the ball tonight, A-Girl. :thumbsu:

Didn't get to see the game tonight but listened to it and have been following this kid in all the articles and forum talks...

Is he as tough as an Adrian Hockmott, Dean Rice, Andy McKay, Peter Dean...?

If he has half as much courage as any of these blokes I would be wrapped. My favourite type of players to watch and one which we so desperately need at the club

How can the way he approaches the game not bring a smile to your face. A dead set, tenacious lunatic. Still some rough spots like most draftees, but if his work ethic mirrors his attitude, don't think we'll have any worries there. :thumbsu:
Dead set me!

Loved his interview with Tim Watson, looked very excited and sounded as if he loved every minute of being out there! Jeez the boy can talk as well, take a breath! Fev calls him Adzy because its like he has A.D.D!

Anyway looks like a steal, good to see the young man enjoying himself and no doubt will do very well.

Just a question, do Blues supporters think that Robinson will take Carazzo's spot in the side sooner rather than later? He looked very sharp and hard at it tonight (albeit a NAB game) and used the ball well, as opposed to Carazzo who gets a heap of it but turns it over. If not who do you think he will replace if he keeps up the form?

Cheers and good win!
Yes i rather him in the side, unpredictable to opponents while Carazzo doesn't do damage on the scoreboard, gets a heap of possesion but the clubs i feel don't think he will hurt them.

Carrazzo's spot no......someone else's probably

I don't know about that,i would have Gibbs,Murphy,Grigg,Simpson,Yarran,Robinson,Walker,Houlihan,Wiggins,Russell,Judd and Stevens before him. I also wouldn't forget Scotland but he has competition with the nice skills and younger player Chris Johnson who fitted well . That's like 13 midfield type there with Hadley,Bentick and Carrazzo with injuries/not quick or avarage skills and there is also Steven Browne and Dennis Armfield who are handy also.

loved his game but the interview suggests why he slipped through to number 40 in the draft.
That's great, some times, well a lot of times not the most brightest person in English/Maths in school is a gun at sports. They actually love the game instead of looking at a book all day learning how to write a girly poem or use equations/ trigonometry they never use in life or be a Physics nerd.

alot of clubs passed him by in the draft because they were worried about his personality. His interviews at draft camp were interesting to say the least.
As long as he plays football like he did tonight then we have an absolute beauty on our hands.

But if people are wondering why he slipped so late in the draft then have a look at his interview with tim watson after the game. classic.

They don't get him, what i seen already the guy loves the game and the interview his very anxious, like his nervous but excited at the same time making him sound like his different.

Future star. This guy is tough, but also very very talented. Reads the play brilliantly, and makes something out of nothing repeatedly. Suspect Ratten might use him on the HF flank with occasional stints in the middle. Last years recruiting was simply outstanding. :)

Super hard at it...Looks what we really need...HARD BLOOD NUT!!!

Like this one????

The interview at the end was a pisser. I think this kid gets on the red cordial, loved his game, he actually enjoys going in hard. Like Ratts said you can't train that into a player. I think he is going to play 22 games this season.

Looks very good!!!

He may have dropped to pick 40 because he runs like a *** when he doesnt have the ball. We should have taken ziebell instead of yarran, gartlett can play small forward with eddie.

He looks like a mix between Dustin Fletcher and Gladstone Small. Where the hell is his neck?

Ziebell's an instant gun no doubt (I have no idea why, but he reminds me of Voss), but it's way too early to call on Yarran. Let's see what we think by the end of the year.

A lot to like about his game tonight was very excited with what i saw. I was surprised with JR's deleveries tonight, he actually hit his targets. I also thought Grgga was excellent just has to hit targets more often.

I've been meaning to mention that. Russell was excellent. If he keeps that up there will be some very embarrassed people on this board.

Yeah his energy is mint . Normally players with that much energy have less composure than the mello focused players ( ala gibbs ) but it seems that robbo has it all .. The guys gonna smash some flowers when he thickens up .. And how funny was it when Cometti called betts a charged particle , Eddie looked just as energetic , good season ahead for him too..

russell played ok , but i still dont think hes got a spot .. Our talent runs deeper than russell these days ..Especially with the arrival of yaz and robbo, chuck in tex and hadd and russ is left out.
