Yeah, sarcasm and laughter. Most of my reaction to this and other such disastrous schemozzles the club's perpetrated on the football field lately.

That is one of the worst vids ive ever seen made, its horrific, whoeever wasted their time doing that should be shot

Has Richard Simmons for a profile picture; either has sense of humour or is deranged.

Back in the abyss that was the Seventies, we still have three gun players: Greg Wells, Stan Alves and Gary Hardeman. Now, the cupboard is bare.

Today was tailor-made for Sylvia to dominate the mercs. He did not fire a shot. Trade him while he still has some currency.

Used to be that you could comfortably pencil him in for 25+ touches and 3 goals against the pissweak teams. Too much to ask for these days I guess. Will probably slot at least 4 when he plays against us next year.

I remember when our old buddy Yze Magic used to predict that Syvlia could be anything.

He is actually more of a disappointment than TJ. TJ was indeed 10x the player.

I've been saying "trade Sylvia" for the past 3 years! He's not going to step up - probably not for any club, but certainly not for us.

The sad part is since about April last year I've been saying we've hit rock bottom week in week out. If there is one thing this club is capable of it's reaching new heights (depths).

T.J would have a dirty day and only have 10 stats, but he would be going at 100% efficiency and 5 goal assists

Free agent. Hopefully someone will be stupid enough to pay a lot for him. Otherwise we'll get peanuts

At what point does this playing group become accountable?

This culture of mediocrity, passed down from player to player since our last true leaders left is ruining us.

Do you think a first year player at Hawthorn would be walking around doing nothing like Kent does? No, they'd be demanding the ball and busting their gut until they vomit to earn the respect of their teammates.

How do you earn the respect of a Dunn, Davey or a Sylvia? I can't imagine it's that hard.

The only two people I see doing their jobs, and that is risking themselves for the club and earning their money, are Jones and Viney.

Viney has improved dramatically over the past few weeks. Thought he was lucky to be called up after an average VFL game, but has proved me wrong. He and Jones will be a good clearance combo next year, need just one more experience mid to help them out.

As for the rest of what you have stated, stuffed if i know how we can turn it around, it seems a mammoth task!!! All i can draw from is the Tigers who had no culture and no respect from anyone in the AFL, now i genuinely feel that can give September a shake and i am happy for them.

Ladies and gents - we've made a new scientific discovery.

I'm considering writing a journal article for the Australian Journal of Earth Sciences on this new geological formation we've discovered for 'rock bottom'. Previously it was thought to be the Bailey Geological Formation (containing a particularly hard layer of 186). Then we formulated a new theory for what 'Rock Bottom' was - the Neeld Geological Formation - but it was not what you could call competent rock.

It actually turns out rock bottom is the Banded Giant Formation, interdispersed with ridicule, hopelessness and lots of empty voids.

Anyone want to co-author?

A lot of people saying we have hit rock bottom. Never assume anything, we are going backwards while every other team (except maybe st kilda) is making at least some forward progress. The most important pre season in our history coming up.

February 2012 I was in Thailand, the optimism I had for the 2012. I remember I got my first look at Mitch Clark in red and blue. I was excited for 2012 new coach Neeld will make us a real tough team to play against. 2013 I thought well 2012 was shocking but it can't get worse. Should be able to win 6 games. viney and toumpas will come in we will be all right. Now I have no excitement for 2014 the exception is Hogan, all I can think is gws will pass us (and some others) hard to think what we will be like next year. Maybe I will go back to Thailand.

The only thing I find the mildest bit amusing is the fact that the mood around here one year ago was nothing could get worse than 2012 - that 2012 was the one true year from hell - and there is nowhere to go but up from 2013 onwards. Almost like optimism?

EEEEHHHH! WRONG!

Apparently the depths the club can sink to are bottomless and immeasurable. It's a free fall in a subterranean hellhole. I reckon rock bottom would be comfortable compared to whatever the hell this is.

The lesson to remember here is: it can ALWAYS get worse.

Hold me.

I hope this time we truly have reached rock bottom. But I've thought that before. Could we go any lower? I can't really see how but have faith the club and our players will find a way.
