Did anyone honestly think we would on the weekend? I didn't give us a hope in hell

We are the worst side in the AFL, even if we finished above GWS this year they are ahead of us come day 1 pre season this year. My fear is next year we will finish last.

Seriously if we don't get this next 2-3 year period right with a good coach and draft picks and development of our younger players we better get use to rock bottom.

Definitely sucks but Roos is right with his side what we can achieve. Not excusing the losses but I doubt they would have been a lot closer if we had half a team (granted thats exaggeration) on the field.

I dont think we have seen Mitch Clark, Chris Dawes, Jack Fitzpatrick, Jeremy Howe all in the same forward line and add in that wingman who can play forward in Jack Watts and we have the start of something...

But also whats with Mark Jamar? I think its fairly safe to say his end is nigh? Sad to see, at least Gawn and Spencer have shown massive improvement this year!!!

Remember the Kruezer Cup at the end of 2007 when we were both the worst teams in the AFL. Fast forward 6 years and nothing much has changed. Melbourne are still on the bottom of the ladder and the Blues still have a bunch of players who would rather show off there new haircuts than play for the jumper.

This is sadly possible. Depends on what our preseason is like though, and how good blokes like Trengove and Clark come out next year. Also depends on the ability of the new coach to actually put a team together.

No-one, at the moment. We have the potential to beat the lower sides IF everything goes right for us on the day but the last time that happened was v Bulldogs (and even then we only scraped home).

Can turn quickly though. But like you said, not holding my breath.

Yes, but I'm not talking about next year. I'm talking about the next few years as it would take a few for Carlton to rid themselves of the current lot, and to recruit a new bunch that would have to be given time before it could be viewed to be a failure or not. I hope they fail. And by that time, we won't be last. Anymore.

Club doesn't perform -> player leaves due to club not performing -> club perceived worse because of player leaving -> other player leaves because of this -> club performs even worse now -> last of the talent leaves

It's getting scary up in here .
