I thought they were great last night especially both of them with their attack on the ball.

I don't think we need to be to worried about Rodan's height as he is built like a tank and has pace and is strong and can tackle well.

Krakouer has that little bit of magic up forward that we have been lacking up forward in the past few years.
 
Agreed, I don't remember a richmond player kicking goals like Krakour's second with any sort of regularity. He's done it already a few times this year. And with the tall forward line we have he makes it so much more potent, as someone can kick goals when, even when the big guys don't mark it. Something we havent been able to do for a long time.

Rodan also look good, but i thought he could have had more game time last night especially as we apeared to have the game in hand. I thought it was great how he centered to Stafford instead of having a shot, something most first gamers probably wouldn't do.

Now we just need to get Mark Coughlan on the park and we may have the makings of a good midfield for the next few years.
 
The thing about bringing the likes of Rodan, Coughlan, Poyas etc through as long term midfielders means that the likes of Campbell, Knights and Duncan Kellaway will ultimately be pushed to the side.

This is reality!

You have recruited well and barring injuries will be in with a big big shot at the big one.
Stafford is a good pick up as the last thing you wanted was for Ottens to be in the ruck all the time.
Also with Rodan and Krakouer you have found the smalls that you were missing.
With Fiora still improving and the much maligned D. Kellaway to come back you are in for a big one.

Hopefully we can sort out our team and make it a Port Richmond grand final.
That'll shut the big mouths about the Wiz cup up.

Methinks the Kangaroos are already embarassed about one that got away!

And I think that there will be a few red faces over the next couple of years when people constantly remind the recruiting people that Rodan managed to slip through to 33.
 
Yep, I reckon the most important position in a club is the recruiting guy/team - even more important than the coach. If ya ain't got the cattle, doesn't matter how good your coach is. It looks like they got it right with Krakouer & Rodan.

In fact, I kind of like what the recruiting guys have been doing over the past few years. In my eyes they should be congratulated.

post 95 was good for us with Bowden, Holland, gaspar getting signed. 96 we only got chaffey...but Port gpt most of the good stuff anyway...first year club. And post 97 we snared Ottens, Tivvers and Andy Kellaway. 98 : White was a dissapointment but Hilton and draga, Hall bidders all were good. Most guys look good since spud joined.
