I've been a Pink Floyd nut for 20 years! I saw Pink Floyd in 1988 in Melbourne and was blown away, but this was the last time they toured Australia.I LOVE Roger Waters solo career and saw him here a few years ago on the "In The Flesh" tour and was something that will live with me FOREVER. With Roger and his fantastic band coming back and playing 2 hours of Pink Floyd songs and his solo stuff AND THEN playing all of DARK SIDE OF THE MOON! I tell ya i almost fainted! Yes i am a Music NUT and I WILL be getting my pre-sale tickets for Roger Waters on Wednesday!!!! HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!!!!.......:D ....:thumbsu: ....:) Look out Rod Laver Arena,Feb.1st 2007,i am THERE!l

my partner is a MASSIVE Roger Waters and Pink Floyd fan also. He goes through phases as well where it is full on, a couple of weeks ago I came home every night to the DVD of The Wall live in Berlin. He is absolutley beside himself at the moment!!

Im going to follow him to Sydney and maybe Melbourne as well, I can't wait to see Roger, he has always been my favourite in that band over David, I think he was the heart and soul of the band...A Momentary Lapse of Reason is not really a Floyd album if you ask me! His solo albums are really good too and I'm looking forward to it...pity we have to wait until February.

This is bloody fantastic news, i am a huge fan of pink floyd and DSOTM is my fav all time album! I have never seen any of the pink floyd members performed live.
But having said that, can Roger still sing? I think he's got big problem with is voice.

Roger has never been able to sing... so what!

I'm so f***ing there!

How can you be the heart and soul of a band when you only played a part in 1 or 2 of 15 odd albums they made?

It's too easy to overstate his contribution to the band and dream about how good it would have been if he stayed on, imo. That first album sounds really dated now, yeah he got them their start and he made them THE band on the LSD scene in London back then but they went onto so much bigger and better things!

just a short sharp shock is all it takes................they won't do it again

:thumbsu: :thumbsu:

I bought the Pulse DVD recently and marvelled at how those guys can reproduce DSotM and The Wall all these years later with such accuracy.....

.....I couldn't help lamenting the fact that Roger is absent though...

....it's like a Bon Scottless AC-DC

Yet his legacy affected so much of their later work, long after he went into seclusion. Specifically Wish You Were Here and The Wall.

KORN,if you bothered to watch IN THE FLESH DVD you would have noticed that Roger does not sing all of DSOTM songs by himself!! ........ ........:D

just had a look at ticket prices, $234 for the cheap seats and $389 for the good ones :o

Already have Clapton, Pearl Jam, BDO and decided against Elton John at the last minute.

It's been an expensive few months.

Juddy, where did you find the ticket prices? Not on the TICKETEK website! But price isn't a worry,i'd pay $1000.00 to see Roger Waters again!!!....:D

would be a bit hard to see the full line up as one of em is dead! Hot rumour coming out of the States is that Roger and (oh bugger I can't remember his name now but the other member he had the serious altercations with) anywhoo seems they were seen dining together and there is big talk that they will tour Australia so it will be a bit of a mini reunion type thing. Roger will do the first part of the show as has been done in Europe and North America and then the rest will join him for DSOTM.

Wow really the ticket prices haven't been released on ticketek.com.au yet, thats ridiculous but i have no choice but to go. With those prices you would expect a Pink Floyd reunion almost, that's the worst i've ever seen!

I know i was quite surprised. So desperate to see him but i think that is quite ridiculous even for him.

the most expensive tickets for Eric Clapton are $350, that guarantees you a seat in the first 15 rows though, and you also get a beer, icecream (heh) and a piece of merchandise, a shirt probably, the shirt is worth $40 or around, and the beer/icecream would come to around $10, so essentially $300 for the best seats. So i'm thinking Roger will be similar, I think those VISA preferred things sell tickets for more than what they normally are.

I noticed the poster said "Roger will be onstage from 8pm, doors at 8pm", because at a lot of his shows people see the "doors at 8pm" and think 'oh, i'll get there at 9:30 just as Roger is starting' only to find that they've missed half the show, heh.

Dear God, was considering going but was expecting the tickets to be about 100-150. There is no way I can afford that after the BDO.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! JUST GOT MY TICKET!! On the FLOOR 6 ROWS FROM THE STAGE!!!!!!!!!!! The best $350 i have ever spent!!!!! CAN'T WAIT......:D ...:thumbsu: .....:D :D :D :D
