lol. take that crap away. there is no real swiss wearing Fed fans on here regularly.

I want Thiem to win cause he deserves a Grand Slam. He is young and of the new gen. Nadal has 11 of them. Domi is the 2nd best clay courter for the last 4 years. 2 semis and 2 finals at RG in those years

So, yes, Domi is the best chance to beat Nadal.
Maybe at a different clay tournament. But at the French he hasn’t looked like troubling Rafa prev, correct me if wrong but I think it’s 9 sets to zero and never more than 4 games when Thiem has played him.
Novak is the only bloke who has ever looked consistently threatening to Rafa at the French to me. He just matches up better esp with the double backhand.
Lets hope I’m wrong, for still conditions and Thiem to have something up his sleeve to take it up to him.
But Everything points to Rafa in straight again for mine. He’s extra terrestrial on the French clay.

Can Nadal win by 6 games or more from a betting perspective?
ATP tour stats show:
Just 3 times met at French (2014,17 and 18) Rafa average winning margin is just over 10 games. 54-23 in total.
Thiem has won 7,7 and 9 games in those years.

Last 2 years Thiem even won the previous match (Madrid and Rome masters ) on clay in straight sets.

And of course Thiem did the same at their most recent clay match at Barcelona.

So History says Rafa easily.

Saw some questions last night about the age at which Nadal started winning slams.

NB: I have already marked him down for a win tonight.

KEY:
blue font - player's last win of that slam
bold blue font - record holder at that slam
red shade - player's only win of that slam
green shade - of these 4 players, most slams by that age

I know there are some stuck-in-the-mud traditionalists here.

You must be pi**ed we have tiebreakers in the first 4 sets.

Feel sorry for those in Queensland as Monday is not a public holiday there.

Also isn't in WA but at least it's only 10 PM there.

Hopefully no one was talking up Thiem at 3-3 because Rafa in straight sets is still by far the most likely result.

Great effort from Thiem but he still might lose 6-3 6-3 6-3, and that's not a bad effort. Sadly, Rafa is unbeatable here.
