My team had:

Alisson > Ederson
Salah > Mane
Wan Bissaka > Arnold
Hazard > Pogba

Also don’t like how the team is named with 4-5 games left. A forward that missed out like Auba for example could finish off the year with a couple of hattricks and be way clear of anyone in the golden boot.
Yes this is a gripe of mine. Similar to how they used to vote on the Norm Smith mid way through the last quarter.

Anything can still happen, especially approaching crunch time. So many variables at play that you can’t always definitively say who deserves player of the season/team of the season.

Stoked for Trent. 20 years old. Could have made an argument for Bissaka too, but he’s had an excellent season either way. Watching Ashley Young repeatedly waft cow shit into the area this morning makes me realise how valuable his and Robertson’s crossing is.

Personally I’d have made the following changes:
Ederson => Alisson
Pogba => Hazard
Mané => Salah
Could have made an argument for 5 right backs over a midfielder playing right back. Ridiculous that they take into team success for an individual award.

Hazard easily over Pogba, bizarre selection really. Hazard best player in the league and Pogba good for only 2 months of the season.
Hazard is my POTY. He's had a shit team to deal with especially until higuain came to help... And he's still involved in 29 goals, which is a higher % than the rest of the league.

That’s a bit like selecting a striker based on their tackling ability isn’t it?
Well it’s not like Ederson is a crap in the traditional goalkeeping steaks either. I’d have him just about even with Alisson on shot stopping and all the other traditional elements of keeping. It’s his distribution skills that puts him above Alisson though

True. He’s had an outstanding season and his distribution is elite. Personally I had Alisson ahead in the primary functions of the role. Here’s the stats fwiw. The save % is the critical one for me, for every 100 shots faced Ederson lets in an additional 7-8 goals.

The voting was done when Pogba and United were on a hot streak under Ole which explains some way as to what he's doing there.

It's still ridiculous that voting is done so early and awards are announced before the season has even concluded.
I seriously hate it. Annoys the crap out of me that they announce all of these before the season is even finished and therefore vote well before the season is finished. I don't understand it.
