Roo fans - Truce?

To all Roo fans,

To put it bluntly im sick of this Lions fans V Roos fans *war* thats been going on this forum. I must admit that I've been part of it but now its gotten way too far out of hand and Im ready to call a truce.

I will admit that the roos have been better than the Lions in their meetings for the last five times or so.

But only just on some occasions.

Are you guys ready to accept the truce and stop all the abuse?

It's fine by me. It was really nothing personal towards you GoLions.

Just to let you know where I stand, I don't have a problem with people having a go at North or taking the piss out of us, and for the most part, I tend to let it go (as most of the Essendon fans here know). God help us if we lose our sense of humour about the game. But when it gets ridiculous or spiteful (and personally, I reckon that a few Brisbane fans have taken it too far...but that's just my opinion), then I'll get stuck in and stand up for my club.

Things are fine by me if they're fine by you.

Dont Worry GoLions. Im sure I can speak for most Roo Supporters here when I say that we hate the Bombers way more than the Lions and therefore the truce will stand if you like........until you piss one of us off again and then watch out. One of the highly educated and deep thinking Roos on the board will blow you away with thoughtful and incredibly accurate facts/debate.

Truce accepted golions. As said previously it is nothing personal against you. The anger and annoyance id directed towards the whining whinging Lions supporters who flooded our forum after we beat you earlier this year. The savage abuse, and ridiculous statements made about our players was beyond a joke.

Sure North is the butt of many a joke on this forum, and I think we generally take it well. But when it comes to personal abuse, and the absolute hatred directed towards some of our players it is getting out of hand. Us loyal supporters of North will stick up for our club, which I would hope the true supporters of all clubs would do. If we cannot be loyal and show passion towards our teams, then what are we doing here. Cheers, golions, thanks for the offer of the truce, it is accepted by me.

I'm in the same boat as Shin & ArdenSt here.. my only reason for replying to the other thread was to try'n say no need to be so agro.. not trying to be in any way offensive.

Let's let the teams have the war & both sets of fans will win out... I'd personally rather watch this years 2 point loss than the 107 point drubbing of Freo.. that kind of passion and intensity just can't be bought which is probably and unfortunately why u get some fans going over the top in the aftermath..

I think Joel is laughing because some of us Collingwood supporters have also called a truce with the Roos of this BB. He wasn't one of them!! I called a truce, ONLY because I was getting sick of looking through crap postings when i'm here to read and post messages about footy!!

Because I think something is funny, I can't laugh? And CJ I rather posting on the other BB, where my discussion is usually longer. However I enjoy reading the different and varied opinions of all the people on the message board.

And why should I call a "truce"? I don't have to declare any pathetic stance on a stupid arguement anyway. I mean who has a better history between Collingwood and Norff? However I agree that they have been very successful throughout the nineties and I think we should leave it at that.
