Allwright video
I don't know too much about Varcoe, but I'm really happy with Wheadon and Allwright. Those two with Ranga give our midfield a really nice looking depth.
Trav will be a very happy boy today I would imagine.
Why do we now have 7 rookies instead of the usual 4 or 5? Is the VFL bench getting expanded?
I remember when I sat with Travis earlier this year at the Season Launch that he mentioned his brother was coming through the system, good to see them together. It will help Travis too because he does get a bit homesick.Trav will be a very happy boy today I would imagine.
Shame we didnt get Cornelius too when you watch the Allwright tape.
Really felt we needed some bigger body mids to balance out the list.
In theory and at this early stage very pleased with the 8 overall we took.
PS Rizzo your phantom yielded better than 0/28! Good effort.
Only just THP. But with the amount of surprises in the first round it was really hit and miss.
Weadon is a bigger body mid. 88kgs 185cms. This Rookie draft has me reasonably excited. Wells has done a brilliant job... again.
Yes was meaning to say glad we actually went after some bigger mids feeling we needed that. Weadon as you say & Allwright looks a strong character too given his rowing background. If they work on Allwright's pace and it is only a short tape but like the look of him.
I saw Ranga in a practice match early this year and felt he would be ready to go pretty much by 09 and Varcoe's brother (didnt they both go at pick 15 respectively speaking?) looks exciting also. Wells is a master.
