Do we know if Jurrah nominated? Someone mentioned on the Draft forum that he had not.

TRS had it pretty spot on. If we could somehow walk away with Gugliotta, Bock, Hayes I'd be pretty happy with that. If Jurrah has nominated we have our 4th....

I can't believe Sibosado isn't getting any love!! He's my pick of the lot but guess he might go a bit early. See him as an Obrien style backman or decent third tall forward option which would be handy in case Rus is injured or Anthony is playing well down back.

I like Sibosado, DeBoer, Gaertner, Hayes, and Bock.

I really hope we pick up a mature bodied tall ruck prospect like Bock. Its the area of the team i'm really not convinced about - albeit hopeful of Wood. A big quick mobile defender like Hayes and Gaertner would be really good too. But I guess you just go best available in the rookie and hope you get some one quality.

To be eligble for selection in the rookie draft you have to have nominated for the ND and not be born after 31/12/1990.

Looking through the full list of players listed on the draft tracker on the AFL website Liam Jurrah is not there. Which would indicate to me that he did not nominate and therefore is unavailable for rookie selection.

he is Nathan bock's brother i think
two years to put weight be alright thats not that long
compared they do say it takes a while for rukman to deveople
so yeh why not rookie him

I reckon we will get a Young Tall Defender in the Rookie without getting one in the National Draft

Cheers for that. I went looking on the god awful website and could not find anything to confirm or deny.

Sounds like the conspiracy theory that we had hidden him away may not have been true which is unfortunate. I love a good conspiracy theory!

Would think that with only 2 weeks before the PSD/Rookie drafts that clubs will be starting to add some of the kids not selected in the ND to their permission to train lists pretty soon. Have any clubs done this yet and I've missed it?

Read somewhere that one clubs recruiting manager (Melbourne I think) started making calls to potential rookies straight after the draft seeing whether they could make it down to join in on training. Should be interesting who Melbourne ask to come down as they have fist pick in the PSD and have said that this pick will probably be on the best available kid as opposed to a recycled player.

Hine is usually pretty cagey about giving his hand away before drafts so I doubt that whoever he may have his eye on in the rookie will train with us beforehand. Last year we had Colbert (ended up in VFL) and Griffiths from WA amongst others train with us but nothing materialised there. Then he picked LCL from nowhere.

They are advertising tomorrow's session at Gosch's paddock as the first chance to see our new ND selections in action so anyone going down there may be able to give us a report on any other faces that could be potential rookie picks.

His body is literally just skin and bone. I would actually be worried about his health quite frankly.

Incidentally, after that lodgement I think I'll run a rookie draft competition similar to our ND comp, for those who are interested.

O'hAilpin was rumoured to be in our sights back at trade week, and this comment was quoted directly from Carlton's Stephen Icke. They said they knew that we were interested, and that we hadn't approached them about a trade as yet, and that perhaps we were waiting until he was delisted.

i was a bit of a dill last week and posted incorrect infomation about us taking begley. my source said we were picking up an irish ruckman, to which i said begley isn't a ruckman, but still took it as referring to begley. o'hailpin could be what he was talking about.

Have you seen much of him? He was in line to get a game until he went down with OP. Then he had an argument with Lappin playing for the Bullants and his stock seemed to plummet.

I heard that too that he was very close to a Game Late Last Year or Early this year, Then got OP and Told Lappin to go and get Stuffed and Never heard of him since.

Anyone see him in the VFL?
