with us taking 2 'mature age' players with our last 2 picks, i'd guess we don't rate any of the younger players in the draft.comes down to risk reward 2 years versus one plus pros and cons of picking up various players in 2014 draft IMO, likely delisting/trades etc.. end of 2014
Callum Twomey saying we are looking at taking Banfield.
Lions have an earlier pick so up to them I guess

Others are keen on Thomas. I'm holding some hope they take him. Having said that a lot of guys left have massive holes. Sokol isn't that much better kick than Thomas. Wilson has problems with hard work and Templeton probably misses out for now.If we have pre determined our picks to be the Thomas,Batsanis,Bathie no point in useing the psd to select them and just take them as rookies (nobody els wants them)
I just hope that we do actually take either Wilson or Templeton with a psd and go for Sokol in the Rookie draft

Yep agree,Let them think we are interested and let them pull the trigger on Banfield early.Callum Twomey saying we are looking at taking Banfield.

I think Rookies are added to TPP at 50%Take someone in the PSD you're locked into them for 2 years, take them in the rookie draft and the commitment is only for that season. Also it doesn't count in the salary cap IIRC to take them in the rookie draft unless they are elevated during the year.
M.Thomas' name will be called tomorrow by Richmond in the rookie draft. He's turned down the opportunity to be picked up by the Giants with a guaranteed senior list spot, and is ready to earn the respect of his coaches, mentors and team mates and fight for the last spot on the RFC senior list before the season starts.
Happy with this. Is a better player than Lonergan IMO so that's a win already. Will play a tagging role at some stage I imagine freeing up Dan Jackson who has recently become an offensive weapon.M.Thomas' name will be called tomorrow by Richmond in the rookie draft. Giants could still take him if they want him. But yeah doubtful if he doesn't wanna go.M.Thomas' name will be called tomorrow by Richmond in the rookie draft. Says as much of the GWS as it does Thomas...M.Thomas' name will be called tomorrow by Richmond in the rookie draft. Positional wise prob dosent fuss me too much. Age is more my quiery. Don't want too leave a massive hole in our list from taking too many mature agesHappy with Thomas, wouldn't be unhappy with Banfield if we hadn't just drafted two HF/Mids and a FP. So here's hoping we're playing mind games, Brisbane take him and someone slips.
