Of course, I'm sure West Adelaide pay him a lot more than that.Joel Tippett might not want to be a $45,000 a year rookie.

After Joel finishes his human movement course, he has thought of adding a teaching element to qualify to be a physical education teacher. He has also looked into joining the fire service.
True, and all good points. However, if he doesn't want to be a 45k p.a. rookie, then you'd think he wouldn't nominate for the rookie draft, yes? It's not West Adelaide paying him that I'm thinking of. It's the other job he has that pays his bills.
There is a dream and then there is how much to sacrifice, the longer you go in life the less flexible you can be. Kids, wife, mortgage etc.

So have you heard anything to suggest he doesn't want to be a rookie? I'd think he'd make it clear he's not interested in being drafted if that was the case. I think it's also a non issue for Freo as I doubt the recruiters will call his name, anyway.Your nomination for the rookie draft is automatic when you lodge the paperwork for the National Draft.
Exactly who is left from the draft that we would be interested in recruiting and I would suggest midfielders will be top of our list with the loss of Pitt and Mitchie .
Moro could breakdown again and we need insurance if that happens ,not that I would wish that on him in any shape or form . Just love him and the effort he is putting in .
Mellington I would suggest would not be a priority for us but if he is still available the Club will re rooky him only to show faith with our last pick if he is still available since he had a year to go on his contract before his desire to look for a better chance to get more games at another club
Mature age HB should also be on our radar .
I think Carltank are a chance to grab Thorp before we do. I'd like to think we'd grab Joel Tippett, but I think you're right. If he's going to get picked up it will be before our first pick, and even if he's available, as much as I like what I've seen of him, I don't think Freo will pick him up.
As good as Cain might be, he'll be 27 in 2014. If he spends a year on the rookie list and then gets elevated he'll be 28. Considering most footballers are entering the twilight at 30, I think his age will count against him.My tip is Chris Cain and Mellington with Lester-Smith also coming on board. Mellington is only because the club has said they would. Cain is the bloke who is a mature age player who dominated the state match between VFL and WAFL state teams. He is a fantastic runner who I think could be re-positioned to play down back as a small defender if required. The Inside Footy magazine said we were really keen on him just after the state game. With the addition of three tall players via draft and trading I hope we go for a midfileder with our only live pick (presuming we are redrafting Mellington and selecting Lester-Smith as a f/son).
I'll repeat myself. Sorry, but I am adding to it.
Eli Templeton,
Here's what Knightmare wrote about him:
#34 Brisbane (via Port Adelaide) – Eli Templeton (TAS – Util)
Height: 182cm, Weight: 67kg, DOB: 19/08/1995
Recruited from: Burnie Dockers
Style: James Kelly
Player comparison:
Range: 25-late
Profile: Templeton is a high production, high motor midfielder with the versatility to also play forward or back. Has a very light body but despite this has a very advanced game and has dominated throughout his junior footy with his form in the u16s particularly dominant but then has also played plenty of senior footy in Tasmania showing he can mix it with the bigger bodies. Templeton is a very clean user of the footy and uses it well by hand and foot. A real accumulator and has the ability to do some damage with a penetrating kick on him as well as his ability to hit the scoreboard. Templeton can win some of his own ball but given his light frame likely finds a role as an outside player.
Maybe, I'm looking too closely at the Tassie connection, but he sounds good.

Looks like we chose his Burnie Docker teammate instead. I think if we go midfield it should probably be a top notch clearance player. Just my opinion though.
Yeah he was so arrogant, had a bunch of people around him and was making them get him drinks and stuff, not the sort of thing you want to see from someone who is hopefull of getting drafted. So your saying he was a bit of a penishead then?
I picked up my Brother from Victor Harbor (Schoolies) last night and had a couple of beers in the pub there. Darcy Hourigan was there and had I had a talk to him about him not getting drafted, he is the most Arrogant, up himself tosser I have ever met. He was saying things like "I should have gone top 25, I'm better then 80 % of the people drafted." And then he said "if I don't get picked up there is something seriously wrong with the f***en AFL. Hope we don't pick this bloke up, maybe that's why he didn't get drafted.
How tall is he meant to be because he looked at least 190 +. He must of started believing his own hype when all these articles were written about him, but yeah he needs to work on his fitness base.Might be one of the reasons, but he's also fat and not that good.
I'm hearing we are looking at a player called Darcy Hourigan in the rookie draft.

Can someone put up the list of those available from the draft so that we know who is left to draft as a rooky please as we need to know the nominees and then we have at least a clue who's left also the order of club picks
