How is it a shit move by Sydney? What did they do wrong?

Geelong was entitled to select Simpson. They actively chose not to. Notice that Geelong passed on their last pick, and Sydney grabbed Simpson afterwards. Geelong didn't want Simpson. Nothing wrong with Sydney picking him up afterwards. Or what, do you want to deny the guy access to the AFL system?

185 cm and 71 kg at the moment. Sees himself as a defender.

"Calder talent manager Ian Kyte said Guthrie had developed significantly since first coming on to the club’s radar as a 15-year-old.
