Rookie Draft

Any ideas who we may be looking at for the Rookie Draft tomorrow, l think we have 4 picks in it. Rookie draft can bring out some value for clubs, it should be interesting to see who we pick up.

l hope Trenfield gets a go, he looked quite good in the magoos last year.

i'll go out on a limb here and say that none of the supp list players of the muzzas will be picked on the rookie list

tommorow will prove if i'm a good judge or not

I thought McCormick and maybe Sofi could be a chance but if theox is right then I don't really know except that I'll continue my push for Dinnell. We've got a fairly tall list now so some smaller players may be chosen as rookies and they don't come much shorter than "the excitement machine" Stephen Dinnell!

Hopefully 1 or more of these players who were overlooked in the National Draft

Adam Fisher (North Ballarat Rebels)- Ball magnet midfielder

James Allan (Geelong Falcons)- an inside midfielder with neat skills. All-Aus rep.

Josh Rudd (Geelong Falcons)- A 188cm midfielder who gets a lot of the ball can play forward.

Paul Shelton (QS)- captained Queensland in the champs midfielder

David Kellett (SA)- Small forward who can play in the midfield

Stephen Dinnel- Tiny at 165cm but has guts. Was BOG in the TAC Cup Granny.

2 MOLONEY, Brent 28/01/84 181 85 (Dew/J Johnson) 5'11" impact midfielder worth early 2nd round pick but likely to go much later
2 MULLINS, Luke 24/12/84 187 77 (??) Tall creative outside "wing". Should make it

2 SUMMERS, Peter 19/06/84 181 80 (Dean Kemp) Blooming 6' clean smart midfielder. Uses well & strong o/h. Class with no name

Spot on thier Hilly. I dont rate Dinnel all that highly, doubt if he'll be up to it at AFL level.

Others like Aaron Edwards, Jay Cheep, Josh Gibson and Travis Jorgensen are hopefully in the mix as well.

I was chatting to Sofi at the B&F and he is a good fella, and I saw enough from him in the 2's (from limited opportunities albeit) to warrant another year to crack the big time.

I saw training a few weeks ago and Tregenza was training with us, but I think that because he has been on the rookie list for two year now he is no longer eligible.

Not sure what he was doing there, perhaps we were doing him a favour to help him get picked up by another club??
