So does that then lead to salary cap problems in 2011/12?

Nah... gotta pay 95% of the cap every year anyway so there are some thats gonna get a substantial pay rise next year when we delist/retire Bones/Nicoski/Dalziell/?Lynch/?Embley/?Glass/?Kerr (if he has another injury year)

People still available: Andreoli, Chalwell, Menegola, Wilson, Hamp, Blight, Cooyou, Yarran, Eades, Brookes, I Stevens, Sweet, Von Bertouch (?), Solly, Tim and Terry Milera, Fitzgerald, Sewell.

This would be my ideal result in the PSD (assuming we delist Hansen) and RD:

PSD: Chalwell

RD #1: I Stevens
RD #2: Cooyou
RD #3: Brookes/Andreoli

But this is what I think will happen, if we're lucky:

PSD: Cooyou

RD #1: Houlihan
RD #2: Chalwell
RD #3: Yarran

If we put Cooyou on the senior list via the PSD I will form a 1 man riot at Subi!:eek:

Swannies, I am confused...is that an endorsement or condemnation of Cooyou?

It's obviously negative. He doesn't want cooyoo on the senior list.

I want a Hams upgrade. He just lacks something for mine. He had such an impact because we need players like him. Just an upgrade.

Just finished watching the round 22 match vs. Geelong. I thought Hams was easily one of our best, and dominated in parts of the game. He adds grunt and toughness to the side like Waters, but seems to have much better foot skills. He really puts his body on the line- something that we desperately need from our players.

I reckon Hams should be one of our first selected every week. If you want an upgrade i don't think you should start with Hams.

Not endorsement. :)

Younger, stronger, better than Ninyette for those who wanted him at the club.

I'm going to quote you on Gugliamana - if he dominates for any club, I will do a lap of Subi oval naked, during a derby! That's how confident I am!

Why the Cooyou hate Swannies?

Not hatred, just matter of factness, he can't play. Having said that, if he's on the rookie list I couldn't care less, but Blight, Sewell, Gugliamana, Sweet, Ninyette, Eades, Outridge (shall I go on?) are all better options with a higher chance of contributing something. I really won't be angry (promise), well not as angry as finding out Swans have recruited Spud Murphy from Sowfs, if he's put on the rookie list.

No disrespect Swannies but how many East Freo reserves games did you watch this year?

At least Cooyou still has time on his side to learn how to use his elite athleticism to best effect. If we drafted Ninyette I would be very disappointed.

None taken Masto. I've probably seen 4 or 5 games of Cooyou this year, including some finals. He's coming from a fair way back, can't mark the ball and that should be his biggest weapon.
Yes, he's very athletic, but that's why I say I won't be disappointed if we rookie list him. Isaiah Stevens is as athletic, but can take a grab and I'd be disappointed if we put him on the senior list as well, doesn't contribute enough. Senior list though, I see a lot better options out there still and they're not guaranteed of making it, being taken that low. Just saying.....

Well we're interested in him apparently, so I'd say "he can't play" is going a bit far...

Again it comes down to value. Do we go after a proven performer with the PSD pick or take a more risky pick?

Rookie spots arent worth as much and we can afford to take greater risks with them, im with Swannies on this. Looks like a rookie prospect.

If we're interested, I'd say it's as a rookie. If we are interested for a senior spot I hope Nissy is reading this - the recruiters should be sacked and I should be installed as the RM.

Notte was roundly criticised and lampooned for playing 1 (read it - ONE) reserves game. This guy (Cooyou) was in the reserves for most of the year, got a couple of chances at League, dropped every mark in sight - it became embarrasing - and was promptly sent back to reserves.

Yes, there is some athletic ability there, he looks the goods in moving etc, but we're playing a game of football.

Any interest in perservering with Notte at all or has that ship sailed?

Keyser I would think that ship sailed off the minute we drafted Darling and Lycett. If in fact it hadn't already departed.

The drafting of the two above would also indicate to me that Lynch will play his last year at the Club.
