Now that Gumby is out for the yearI'd like to see Chartres get elevated if we were to elevate a rookie.
From what I've seen of him this year, he has been pretty good in both the ruck and playing key back. Would be a reward for his efforts thus far.
Seems a logical choice with two KPP out for the season.
I would agree, I am not too sure he is AFL quality but it's worth a look, we have nothing to lose right? Would be nice to find another tall defender, with Mal on the outer, Fletch getting older and Pears still young we are starting to look a little thin in that area.
Chartres or Magin for me. Chartres looked very poor in the pre season whilst Magin was quite promising. Our season has been pathetic and we may as well see which kids can play. Before the end of the season Id like to see Hocking, Dempsey, and Magin/Chartres play a few games. Hope that Atkinson plays another couple of games before the end of the season. Dare I say Johns get a crack again.
Ive only seen him play once for Bendigo this year. Obviously saw him numerous times in the pre season and he looked poor.Have you seen Chartres play for Bendigo this year?

Im not judging him on pre season form at all. I know he has been played out of position occasionally, but I am merely stating that I would prefer Magin to get a crack for Essendon before Chartres. If Chartres was to get his chance first Id give him my full support. Ive got nothing against Chartres.I don't think he has been poor, judging him on pre season form is pretty poor by you. Considering the last few weeks (And at times last year as well) he has been played out of position (Ruck), he has performed well against the odds. Gives his all.
Seems to use the ball pretty well and has good defensive skills. Maybe he'll be just a good VFL player. He deserves his chance at AFL level he get's elevated.
Time will tell if he is just a good VFL player.

Does anybody know where Dempsey is at with his injury?
