Don't mind Caleb Daniel, $285 might be a little steep. Thoughts?

All comes down to prices mate, Simpkin's top scoring season was in 2014 where he averaged 67.8 points (he averaged 66.5 in 2013), hardly ground breaking stuff but at 226k you've got to consider him.Wouldnt be hard.
Whats be going to average? Maybe 70 with avg/poor JS
I think people are getting carried away personally with the top ups and him.
Not saying i wont be starting him but hes not a lock like some are suggesting for me right now.
May have avg 110 in VFL if it was that but M.Brown also avg 90 odd at VFL they wont be getting anywhere near that in the worst side in the comp seen for 10 years

As for Mitch Brown he's only 194k and I'd presume he would start Round 1. As a tall defender he's not going to score a lot but it's hard not to lock in a player under 200k who you'd presume should play every single week. Will still make decent money and offer cover from your bench.
I don't think you should have both because they're both players from the same club and I'd imagine we'll all have quite a few Essendon players already. I think they'll both average around the 60pts mark I would imagine. Brown is 32k cheaper and right now that's enough for me to take him over Simpkin. I'll re compare after the NAB Cup.
For some reason I thought Simpkin was a defender.Absolutly considering him Tradespert but not sold or locked for me just yet. The club has some talented kids who will hopefully be at the club for the next 10-15 years theyre not going to be that far behind Simpkin whos now 28 and wont get another shot at AFL. If i was the essendon club and felt i had enough experience on the field id be picking the young guys who we look to invest 10-15 years into rather than an old bloke whos around for 1 year. Alot of the kids will be a better AFL player then Simpkin at the end of the season if given a true 15-18 game crack.
M.Browns different, hes younger, hes KPP which we just lost arguable the 2 best in the comp with Hurley and Hooker as KPD's. So he fills an urgent hole. His scoring will it be that great? im not entirely convince but he offers great safety and JS.
Cant really compare the 2. In different positions unless your looking at both as forwards i guess.

You don't want to put all kids on the ground. It will be a waste like GCS and GWS in the first year. For some reason I thought Simpkin was a defender.
To you think Wosha will play the best team he's got or do you think he'll give the Essendon kids a season of development?
Should have re worded it a bit better, didn't mean to refer to only playing kids. Was meaning to ask if Essendon fans expect the kids at Essendon to get first look over top up players. You don't want to put all kids on the ground. It will be a waste like GCS and GWS in the first year.
I would think it will be a situation where he unofficially gives 4 spots to top up mature players and they all fight for those spots and the rest to younger development players. You need some bigger mature bodies out there other than Zaha and Goddard.

http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/tp-geelong-catsCan someone tell me who Geelong's rookie listed players are? Sorry guys, I ask the same question every year. Geelong's seems to be the only website that doesn't show who the rookies are...
Thoughts on Callum Mills?
At 227k he's quite an expensive rookie but has averaged a very healthy 76ppg over the three Swans NAB Challenge games and surprisingly appears close to a lock for the Swans come Round 1. One bad game at Sydney and he could be dropped quite easily I'd imagine. 227k is a lot of money for a rookie but if he can average 70 to 75 points a game he'd still be a steal at that price.
I was waiting for someone to say something about Oliver.C. Oliver got a good score. Very good for a rookie.

Thanks for the info mate. As a taller defender you do have to be concerned on his scoring ability though, at least with Hartley, M. Brown and Mackenzie their job security seems far more secured.Marcus Adams seems to have done enough to get in the doggies team and seems a likely sort for a little extra cash
And try to stay away from those extended benches for Round 1 selection of rookies (eg Geelong Hawks Monday game)!i think a key is to have a preference of which rookies you prefer when the teams drop.
or more importantly who are you going to sacrifice when your structure doesn't gel with round 1 selections...
indeed or have a damn solid backup plan....(Dan Howe is my head scratcher in that regard)And try to stay away from those extended benches for Round 1 selection of rookies (eg Geelong Hawks Monday game)!
Happens every year, finally settle with your squad and then BAM, last minute curve ball. Nothing's ever as easy as straight swap either.Marcus Adams seems to have done enough to get in the doggies team and seems a likely sort for a little extra cash
