He has played a few first year players in recent years but generally they do an apprenticeship in the reserves.Jetta may be the one to get a run in the ones from this years draft. We'll see!

Given that both Jetta and Trent Dennis-Lane have been playing in the WAFL and been playing against men I give them both a good chance of getting a run.

However I dont think we will see the other until 2011 for the most part.

Daniel Hannebery, Craig Bird, Patrick Veszpremi, Simon Phillips, Luke Vogels, Jarred Moore disagree with your premise.

Jesse White may have played in his first season as well.
No he didn't, drafted in 2006 and played his first game in 2008.

Craig Bird didn't get a nomination because he was constantly on and off the bench, and was consistent rather than flashy. Hannebery is certainly more eye-catching than Bird but he's less likely than someone like Vesz whose energy and goalkicking will endear him to the nominators.

Roos on FSN just now saying Dennis-Lane and Jetta big chances to play early in the season because they already have senior experience in the WAFL.

Enthusiasm to see the newbies:eek:... is understandable...but try fitting everyone into a best 22?

Yes, Roos seemed to have a 1 yr policy? (I would says 2-3yr) that changed with circumstances.

They get different (less demanding roles) as newbies. Flashy performances do not necessarily, mean regular spots

Roos was astounded that he promoted Hannabery... (justified) .... but if they deserve it .....THEN they get the chance!

Ps Soph, the sig is BAD~!.... change it;)

I agree Loo Loo:D, is much more anticipated ...exciting ...22 addition!
