Roos by 64

After a tight first half the Roos bounded away in the second half to win by more than 10 goals (17.10 to 7.6). "Unfortunately" BOG would go to Boomer Harvey and just reminded us what we'll be missing in the first 2 rounds! Daniel Harris played very well as did D.Smith and they both look like certain starters against the Dons in R1. "Spider" Burton played the whole game and looked like he needed the match conditioning but played quite well. Petrie also competed well and I think it'll be between he and Spider for the first game. Watt played at fullback on Modra and kept him very quiet. Belly was the victim of some "good-natured" razzing by us and was relatively ineffective and seemed to finish with a bit of a limp. Lindsay Smith at last got a go and did some good things but where was Motlop Jnr? All in all a good hit out but Boomer we miss you already! I was looking around for FootyBoard guys but it was difficult as the only description I've got of anyone is that Spidey has "footy **** blonde" hair (her words!).

Shinners, darky, spidey and i were standing behind the goals at the heatley stand end and then we sat in the stand.

A great performance by the roos and it was great to meet some of the bigfooty roos!

The limp was due to the fact that he forgot to remove his wallet from his shorts, and thus, the extra weight caused him to limp.

As for him being ineffective, you would have noticed that during the third quarter, he was clearly seen to be playing primarily in the forward pocket thus allowing him to talk to his financial advisers. In the last quarter, I saw him negotiating the sale of his soul and that of his first born to Satan. I guess he realised that after seeing the wonderful Freo midfield get ripped apart from, er....Stevens, Simpson, Smith, Harvey, and Harris (a bunch of no names clearly not in the same league as Sabre's supermen)...that he's not going to be playing finals footy any time soon without some outside help.

Sorry I missed you guys. I was pretty busy playing kick to kick with my three boys. Spidey it sounds like you should have stood out like a beacon! The best "Belly taunt"? "Hope you like the money as much as you like 14th spot!" OK, it was me,but I did enjoy it. Got dark looks from Mrs Groucho though!
