I haven’t cared less about who comes in or who comes out for nearly 10 years

Brad has never changed and never will.

How can any of us care until the disease is out of the club

That’s a bit of an exaggeration isn’t it?

You didn’t care in 2012/14/15/16 Final/s?

So Durdin is clearly not in our future plans

I feel for him. He’s had rotten luck. They need to find out if he can make it. s**t even play Taz forward if necessary, the season is done.

We have a football department selecting a side they think will be best for them, not the side moving forward.

I heard Dogs were making five changes and thought “I bet we aren’t” - even then I was surprised and disappointed there’s only one change after that terrible loss. Should have finally been the coach killer.

Glad LDU is back but if it’s for a rested player even that doesn’t mean much. The message is still that the favoured players are preferred if available and performance week by week counts for very little. Over it.

Sam Durdin.

Plays one game. Not great. Not awful. Gets suspended. General consensus is he's very unlucky. Club doesn't appeal. General consensus is they had to. Suspension stands. Club loses. Plays in the VFL the next week.

And some say player development isn't putrid?
You’re spot on MM. The club has gone to the dogs.
I can’t believe we’ve made just one change after losing to a group of kids last week. The last time I was this shocked was when I first learnt about the birds and the bees in year 11. The teacher made us watch How to Drain Your Dragon and it still haunts me to this day. I’ll never forget the opening line, “Chlamydia. It’s not a flower.” So true

Feel for him. We can't definitively know if he's capable of playing consistent, quality AFL without giving him a proper crack at it. He's fit, healthy and not suspended yet still doesn't get a game. Scooter has proved capable of playing shorter, drop LMac and let Durds have a go. Simple. Where do I sign to be the next senior coach?

The only assumption is that Durdin's suspension wasn't appealed because with Thompson back he was going to get dropped anyway. What a s**t message. You're expendable so we're not going to fight for you.

This week was the perfect week for Sam. He wasn't going to get monstered by a Hawkins or Franklin and winning or losing isn't be all and end all. Hed still have an important role though and nice chance to back a young bloke without playing for sheep stations. Also a good statement of support after a dodgy suspension.

But no. Young fella, you're just here to fill gaps when old blokes miss a game here or there. Otherwise we don't value you much yet.

I don't rate Sam myself super highly. But give the poor bastard a go. Seriously.

Ziebell back forward is good, seeing LDU in the middle is good and Garner back to the VFL is good. All in all not a bad selection night, but could be better.
I dont disagree with Ziebell playing forward as being good for the team, but he has clearly shown in the past few weeks that he is just behind Cunners and Higgo as our best mids. However, by playing him there, we are lacking in the forward line, so I agree with playing him in the fwd half. It also allows us to groom LDU/Ahern/Scott in the future. I think these 3 guys need to play at least 1/2 the remaining games each. Rotate if you wish, but play the young guys in the guts, and develop them. Add to that a decent pick in next years draft, and our mids will be far better. I think they have a lot of potential now, so add some icing to the top. Play Larkey all year too, and dont play Wood forever, coz he isnt up to it imo Doesnt perform enough!!.

These kind of selection decisions - or non decisions after a loss against such weak opposition - are exactly why you do sack the coach mid season and appoint a caretaker when you're 2-7. You give the caretaker specific instructions to play youth and try players in different positions eg Wood at half back. Instead you have Scott once again refusing to drop his under performing favourites as he desperately clings on.
Youre kidding, right? He just dropped his favourite player, this week...... The only player he dropped... Confused!!

Been Buckley if you hop on and read this, GET OFF YOUR ARSE AND DO SOMETHING, THIS CLUB IS BECOMING A JOKE.

I am bullish on Durdin, he seems to be very composed down back.

WhTs happened to Garner??

Thompson or Tarrant? Which would you drop?

Just gutless selections, which is a far cry from the North Melbourne I grew up with.

Considering our position why didn’t we go with:

Out: Turner, McDonald, Macmillan, Thompson, Garner (rested)

In: Hall, LDU, Ahern, Durdin, Scott

B: Atley, Tarrant, Pittard
HB: Hall, Durdin, Williams
C: Dumont, Cunnington, Polec
R: Goldstein, Ziebell, Anderson
HF: Thomas, Wood, Higgins
F: Larkey, Brown, Zurhaar
I: Scott, Simpkin, LDU, Ahern

One change? One change?
Is he taking the p#*s?

How do LMAC, JMAC and Turner hold their spots when they add a net nothing to the team?

Aaron Hall had 28 possessions, 2 goals, and 8 tackles in his last VFL. How is that not best 22?

If you'd seen Hall's lack of physicality in his last couple of matches, you'd understand.
Do you think your non-valuing of certain players is some sort of objective judgement on them? Or would you acknowledge its just your opinion?
