Has anyone got any idea what is happening in Adelaide

Josh Jenkins - Past it but has some value mostly on-field
Eddie Betts - Past it but has some value mostly off-field
Alex Keath - Late starter looking to cash in (fair enough)
Hugh Greenwood - Late starter looking to cash in (fair enough)
Brad Crouch - Will stay IMO
Rory Laird - Unsure. Good player but could net us a very good haul.
Sam Jacobs - 2nd ruck at the club now. Still better than a few 1st rucks around
Rory Atkins - definition of trade bait.

From outside it looks like a mass exodus.
A mix of club decisions (moving along Betts, Jenkins, Jacobs) and personal decisions (financial) are the real drivers.

Sounds like 2020 could be a rebuild/development year for the Crows (and that is not a bad thing at all)

Question is, is Don Pyke the right man to guide the Crows through this transition period ?

Another player worth 2 top ten picks huh?:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

They guy on the first page who said he places higher value on Line breaking HBF's with penetrating kicks knows what he is talking about.:thumbsu:

Yep. Lever’s a KPP/3rd tall type who was also a young gun who at 21/22 was playing at a seriously good level and looked like progressing into one of the competitions stars.

Really hope your not trying to make an argument that Laird’s worth two first rounders.

And history will show that they over paid for Lever too. Very few Afl players should be worth 2 top picks, very few.

Agree that the Dees played overs for Lever, however the picture will be a lot clearer in 5 years. He's still capable of becoming a star of the comp.

Gotta think that Pyke going settles a few players a bit, though that uncertainty of not having a coach and the possibility that the 'damage has been done' in the case of a few players means that some will go regardless.

No way in hell 10 players leave Adelaide in this fashion though, especially when so many are contracted.

IF Laird was keen to come across with Sauce and Eddie to reunite with Teague, we've got a shiny 2020 First Round Pick with your name on it if the Crows want to play a little game of death riding again ;)

That will get you an autographed photo of Laird :D

Disagree. You are most likely trading for an established star. Regardless of if the picks will be better one day (I mean obviously you need to pay attention to the draft), you are trading for a player who is ready made.

Michael Hibberd, Nick Malceski, Sean Dempster, Nick Smith, Easton Wood, Beau Waters, Harry O'Brien have all been AA defenders this decade.

That said, Laird is definitely worth more than pick 20.
