I have an Ablett Senior career highlights DVD and at one point must have been late 80s or early 90s the centre square of the MCG was 100% mud and they just dumped sawdust on it and played on.

Ross the boss gave the management of Marvel stadium a bake post game. They left the roof open over night and this morning in the rain making the surface ridiculously slippery. Even said both teams were treated with contempt and it wouldn’t happen to a big club.

Letting it rain on the surface and then closing it during the day when it gets a chance at getting some sun is a double hit against it.

It's not an excuse for performance, and was a good call to make sure the roof is managed appropriately.

He literally said we played poorly in the press conference. Why would he bother deflecting the media have been bagging us non stop for the past month of course he would know what's coming after beating North by a goal.
