Lachie did alright when he came on. The problem was subbing off the wrong player.
Ballas should have been subbed out.

Disagree. Ballas was putting in a shift at least, he just couldn't hit the scoreboard. Even in the last 10 minutes he got in position to have a couple of shots that would have put us back in the game late, but he fluffed them. That ability to maybe snatch a couple of quick goals is why you gamble and leave guys like him out there even if they're having an off day to that point.

Clarke, on the other hand, was playing like he was worried about messing up his hair before the after party. Watching at the ground I thought his effort was pathetic and I was calling for him to be subbed 10 minutes before RTB pulled the trigger.

The way he was playing Clarke would have put up as much of a contest against Lake in the last qtr as I would have, and I was 10 beers in.

RTB is making an appearance on OTC tonight.

Fantastic to watch RTB tonight where he was much more relaxed and open than after a game. Interesting that he said he learnt a lot from working with Clarkson and the games elite players in the International Rules game and rated it the highlight of his coaching career.

When asked about Fyfe going forward in the third quarter against the Suns he said that he and Sumich discussed it at half time and when he kicked the two quick goals he turned to Sumich and said that he makes it look easy. He said he had to move him back into the midfield when we lost a few clearances. Said that he isn't just a great player but leads the team Monday to Friday and drives everyone to improve.

Admitted that losing Crowley and Dawson had made us more attacking but didn't discount Crowley playing again, even this year. He said that he supports his players until he can't Said that he played Steven Baker in a grand final not having played for 14 weeks.

When asked about the injuries to key backs said that it is not ideal but if the midfield did their job then it can be overcome and said that is where the game is won and lost.

Said that he has someone who was with him during his time at St Kilda sit in on all of his pre game and break addresses to the players and critiques his performance and advises on the psychology of his interactions with the players. Obviously always striving to improve and leaves nothing to chance.

We are so lucky to have him as our coach.

We have done well to get where we are, but now we have seen ouŕ greatest rival starting to make their move, lets hope Ross
learnt as much as possible from Clarkson. Dont like the talk of living in the past, Baker, Crowley
comparison, Lyon needs to go forward, and blood players who can offer something now, and we need a plan B
in the midfield, otherwise we are too predictable.

So blood players who can deliver now AND implement a new gameplan for the mids. How about we just do we are doing but shitloads better instead? Might be easier to implement.
