Jarryd Roughead will now go down as a one-club player. He's had an amazing career to date. I can't think of a better utility who can play forward/midfield/ruck that's as good as Roughead has been over the last decade or so. I wonder if he'd make our team of the century?

- Triple premiership player (2008,13,14)
- Dual All-Australian player (2013,2014)
- Coleman medalist (2013)
- Third in the MVP award in 2013
- Seven times in his career he's kicked 40 or more goals in a season
- Rising star nominee 2005
- Five goals in the 2014 grand final (the most by a Hawthorn player this era)
- Three times he's kicked over 70 goals in our premiership years

This is just brilliant. On top of Lewis re-signing when he could have gone to FA at the end of 2015 - it shows that we have a list that is determined to stick together and keep playing as a team. I loathe to bring up the more infamously disloyal player who recently departed - but we are richer for having lost that kind of player, mentality-wise, and continually retaining those who are loyal to the HFC cause.

Thanks for the loyalty, Roughy. We love you.

And doesn't play it out to get more cash etc. Doesn't want distractions - Loves his club

This is how a loyal player does it.

People refer to $5 cloke as being loyal for staying at collingwood, but he played the field for 12 months to bump up his price.

Roughy didn't do that - just signs the contract and gets on with the job.

Love it. Roughy is awesome. Absolute king of a finals series.

Thought this was a breakout year for him. Insofar as to say he finally ripped the ass out of a final (2 weeks in a row) which has been a personal knock on him imo. Reckon he will be even better next year ;)
Yes, spot on here. There is a lot more improvement to be seen in the big Rough. Delivering in consecutive finals is a huge step up & I can't wait to see him rip it up next year.
