Don't worry, I understand perfectly. I just find this attitude a little bit disappointing, especially given how much misfortune we've suffered over the past few years. I don't think said misfortune justifies it at all.I swear my point is being lost on some of you. I couldn't give a rats ass if the opposition team get injured - I care about MY team, and MY team WINNING. No pity for the opposition. That's the game. Unless it's something extraordinary like when Jeff white got kicked in the face.
That second example doesn't really qualify as an injury or being comparable to the current St. Kilda situation. If a player takes a misstep in a contest that hinders them and prevents them from getting to the ball then I'm all for that also. That's the name of the game. But a player who's trained hard over the preseason having to sit out because they injured themselves before the game isn't something to celebrate at all.For me it's relative, do I want to see players break their legs or do their ACL's? No. But would I care if a player pings his hamstring which allows us to run onto a loose ball and kick a winning goal? Hell no.
I don't totally disagree with you - I'd just rather beat St Kilda with Montagna and Steven than beat them without the two, and I think we're capable of doing either if we play our best.that's what depth is for. If they don't recruit for depth, that's their fault. No pity to the SAINTS.
No doubt it's a shame for Jack, but in regards to the Saints - pfft - couldn't care less.
When you play a game of footy, you put the best available team out on the park, no excuses. Once that siren goes - the best team on the day wins. Time for us as supporters to get some cnut into us.
For years we make excuses for us being shit - now we're gonna start making excuses for the opposition? seriously?

Welll I can honestly say that I agree wholeheartedly with you that we can beat them both with and without Steven and Monty.I don't totally disagree with you - I'd just rather beat St Kilda with Montagna and Steven than beat them without the two, and I think we're capable of doing either if we play our best.

While we're listing possibilities it could also be a draw. The opposite is also true. Lets see who is best on the day.

Is it OK by you to go for the throat first? Cos with bleeding buckets of red & blue and one eye closed it's gonna be a lot harder leaving it till last.Screw the Saints ... Tough luck - hopefully we smash the sh!te out of them and rub it in badly. We need to smash them and go into rnd 2 confident. Don't pity the saints because of last years outs - they never pitied us, no one did. Bleed red and blue, close one eye and go for the throat.
This x1000000000000.I find it hilarious that we're already talking about winning round 1.

Not sure he will be ready for Rd 1, has been limited all pre-season. Not sure what injury from last year.Is Viney Injured?

Remember how we were going to get over Port last year because they were such a rabble? Or the Lions the year before to 'do it for Jim'? There's been some positive signs from the NAB games but to say we're locks to get over the Saints is a big call at this stage. They'll be without Montagna and Steven which will help but it's far from a certainty I think.
Probably Lenny too. Does that help.
Now at $1.72I've been keeping tabs on our odds for round 1 since the Richmond practice match. We've shortened from $2.30 to $2.12 (with one site) and we haven't even seen how the Saints are travelling yet. It's a minor movement but suggests either the bookies have noticed us or there has been a bit of money on us coming their way.
Now at $1.72
Really? My favourite Saints player, love watching him play.Probably Lenny too. Does that help.
I want to see St Flogga with another spoon - their 27th - jammed up their clacker.
