Calm down everyone.

Calm down.

It’s going to be ok.

My son got concussed a couple of times. I was naturally concerned.

I did a fair bit of reading into it. I suffered a few knocks in my time too.

Re Starce, simply unfortunate and unlucky to get 2 head knocks in 2 games. Simple as that.

Life is a game of chance.

I’ll cut to the chase. Some people can get 1 or 2 concussions, then suffer major headaches for several months.

Others can get 5 or 6 concussions but no headaches after a day or two.

Starce did get a reasonable knock today. Enough to cause a concussion.

At this point no reason to be concerned.

Not live and the game started at 5 .

Absolutely pathetic from 7 mate .

Great win though but I felt a bit sick seeing Starc go down again .

Hope it’s not a long term problem that would be devastating ,
AFL made a deal with Fox that it stipulated a 2 hour delay on FTA, so it's not 7s fault.

My Kayo has always been excellent? Two different houses now. It runs less well through my android TV but through Apple Tv is superb. 4K looking fantastic too.
Yeah I gotta admit I’ve used Kayo across dozens of wifis, 3G-5g across dozens of devices over the past 10+ years and say have very rarely had an issue.

Rather than shelling out for Kayo, get the free FoxtelGo app and find a sibling, parent or mate who will let you use their Foxtel logins. You can get the game up on your phone and then Bluetooth it to your big screen at home.
Works just fine.

Unfortunately for me I’m the sibling, uncle and mate with the logins.

Kept spiritually warm by the willingness to share with your nearest and dearest, no doubt.

Marcus Adams suffered a single concussion and could never return due to ongoing issues after spending a year trying to recover. Clarke had a concussion and was done within a month. Pretty sure Brown suffers long term concussion symptoms.

Not sure why you’re being condescending about something perfectly reasonable for people to be concerned about. There wasn’t much concern after his first concussion but two in three weeks has people reasonably concerned for Starcevich’s health. Just a shit post talking down to people while being wrong as well.

Agree that we had a good day from a coaching point of view. Getting out pointed early, changed a few things up both personnel and game style wise, and it started to turn.

Zorko forward proved to be a real weapon. That could really work for us when Coleman is ready to go.

My whole family's on it.

They're in their thirties and still living off me.

I got concussed in my last 4 consecutive games. Got an innocuous hit to the head and was in lala land for about two quarters and then was fine. No headaches or anything afterwards.

Long term effects…well for people who know me, some would say it ****ed me ;)

So running Fort for the year is the way to go ? Solid all day and takes the load off the BIG O.
Yes, because it allowed for the goal scoring option that every member of the Over 50’s Clique loves, the resting ruckman in the forward line. Not only were Fort and Oscar formidable in the ruck, but both kicked goals and stretched the Swans defence. They are both mobile big men, with good disposal skills, who can take a mark and hit the scoreboard. They both work hard and get to contests. I loved Fort’s third quarter effort where he sent it inside fifty and picked out the leading Hipwood. GOAL!

Fort has great football sense.

my main issue with Kayo was absolutely no lead in to the game, was forced to hear them gushing over the much loathed (by me) Bailey Smith for at least five minutes after the Geelong game concluded, then watch 2 ads and a blank screen for 2 or 3 minutes. Then straight to the opening bounce, I knew that Charlie was out and the sub from the afl website, but no talk of the prevailing conditions or anything.

Saw I think on Kayo them running a competition in which the first prize was to spend a day with Bailey Smith, assuming 2nd prize was 2 days with him :(

Kudos to 2 blokes that won't get votes.

Morris - competed, is a smart footballer and even when he is not winnning, evens the contest.

Payne = a rock. Took McCartin out of it after he started well, and scrapped like his life was on the line.

I thought Payne was good too, after a few early lapses. He is a hard man to pass when he gets his frame in front, and surprises a few with his closing speed too.

Morris did keep competing which was nice. He is going to get a bit more attention this year with no Joe and teams planning for his strengths so it was good to see him keep making a contest when things were frustrating for him. Playing on after Zorko won the free wasn’t ideal, but all is well that ends well.

That's the problem with the twilight slot - then straight to the games afterwards. I'm disappointed in the VFL for putting the grand final rematch on at that time and having some awful Vic teams line up Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
