One thing we've done well in the last 2-3 years really well is respond and bounce back.

Fully expect and demand that response or you might as well put a line through a three-peat if we start 0-3.

Had outs but as Fagan said, he'd be upset if we lost and so should we. Time to fire up.

Combination of guys…

Debuting or in their first few games

Coming back from long term injuries

Playing their first few games for the club after long term injuries

Persecution by the MRT

Positives are
Kiddy
Answerth
Draper
Linc
LESTER

Thank you for your time

Collectively a very poor effort tonight. Probably Lester the only one getting a pass mark. Maybe Bruce

Out: Tunstill, ZZ, Annable, Gallop/Allen, Lohmann/McCarthy
In: Joyce, Gardiner, McCluggage, Morris, Bailey

Fletcher would likely have to play up the field

I haven’t yet seen the game (shit on and no Kayo) but from quarter time onwards the scoring worm tells me we should be able to take a bit of heart out of the game.

Thought we'd lose and the First half was terrible. Lot of passengers especially from senior players.

Second half we fought it out really well against a good team.

Lester is a star. Legit star. Blanketed Curnow and was helping out every where he could. Unlucky to not have enough support.

Annable and Draper showed some good signs. Annable isnt a winger but has the talent to make it work. Draper has good leap and decent forward craft (bar goal kicking).

Great to see Answerth back. Despite complete mismatches he never gave up.

Week off, players back and we should restart the season

Lester, Bruce, Drapes and Charlie, particularly early were the only 4 you could say didn’t have their colours lowered tonight. Everyone else looked like it was filed away in the to hard basket.

We don’t have a whole lot of room for error after the break but we will hopefully have 4 handy ins straight away, so it’ll be interesting to see the attitude of the group come the Saints game. Think it might tell us a lot about how the rest of the year might go to be honest.

Liked what Sam Draper showed.

Lester, Fletcher, Dunkley, Cameron, Reville our best.

Answerth showed enough to keep in the side, IMO Fagan will show confidence in Kiddy and retain him as well.

Some of our senior players were well down tonight- Zorko, Neale, Berry, Ashcroft W.

Annabel showed some great signs, McCarthy needs a stint in reserves.

Also kinda ironic that if Gulden and Heeney go down there is a chance they fall apart. We might have played the best version of Sydney we would see this year

I’d find a spot for Bailey in there too 😉.

Who was responsible for the Lizard? In games like that everyone has to be accountable. It is blindingly obvious that their game plan is based on run from Half back. We just let them do it unencumbered. Not happy.
Lizard is the epitome of a downhill skier, if he's clamped down on in a big game he goes to water.
