Happens almost every year with traded out players, Seedsman was another that comes to mind. Every time they have a good or even half decent game, the player threads get bumped in order to pot the club and/or Buckley. Rightly or wrongly, players were traded out and yes, they will bob up and have a good game during a season. There’s a lot of selective amnesia that goes on in here.

Now that all 3 of our recent trades have played and had good games at their respective new clubs, it’s time to move on and let it go. I bear them no ill will and hope they do well for the rest of their careers, except when they play against the Pies of course.

Not easy to move on. The latest article has it that we were chasing a 30 year old Gunston and Merrett, which fits with the rumours of the time. If true, it suggests that these trades weren't forced on us by a salary cap bungle. It basically suggests that we've got a short term thinking bunch of idiots running the club, who couldn't see past the hub.
