The Other Dean
Slack Motherf*cker
Apologies to Game Day Thread Field Marshal, Herr Gaso, and others for my tardiness in starting this thread. And thanks to him and any others who may have held my place in the interim.
I mean, I could just say that it totally slipped my mind because I've just had brain surgery. But then who's honestly going to buy that?
On a related note, I haven't been thorough enough to include any of the official AFL info stuff in the OP. I expect that's no doubt because I've just had brain surgery.
Down to business. The occasionally-brave Tigers have now both laid down the gauntlet to their fellow excrement-kicking cellar dwellers, and set the bar on the kind of courage required to beat only the bravest of opposition to rack up a plucky Round 1 1/2 win.
The Doglets have definitely had our number in recent times. But I like the team we've picked. It's young, talented, and positively oozes pluck. And as brave as they are, I certainly don't see Western walking away with a flag this year. Or even some kind of commemorative mini-flag that says something like 'Well done on finishing 5th.', or anything even close to that.
So all things considered (see above) I'm expecting a mostly-brave loss from our guys but, much like Billy Mumphrey, I remain ever-optimistic that we might be able to turn it around on them this time.
Dear North,
It's been a rough week.
Three simple and easy-to-follow words.
'Just'.
'****ing'.
'Win'.
Cheers in advance.
Best wishes,
ZipperHead
