I do, I remember being one of the people who was adamant he would stay, but people were fully convinced.

Yep - I even offered personal knowledge of this situation and was still told he was leaving... also that if he didn't leave it was not proof that he wasn't planning on it seriously. Bonkers time on this board.

That's pretty matter of fact considering we haven't seen either play for 6 months.

How short people's memories are. Darcy at his best is an A grader and he can find that form still.
Darcy’s a complete dinosaur with about the same amount of long term prospects

Not a bad boundary throw in ruck but there’s about 6 of them a game nowadays

Was hoping for Murray and Scerri in place of NOD and Wombat but its nice to back the incumbents I guess.
Worner is obviously highly rated internally.

I hope Draper can fight his way back. He's class.
I'm excited about Murray, wish I could've seen him debut on home turf.

Banners is a perfect emergency. Walker has been in strong form during pre season. If he can bring that to the season we have a big upgrade in the back half.
Walker is exceptional in his athleticism and attacking game.
I love Chapman, Walker, Clark, McVee plus a hard nut in Worner and a few talks.

Would’ve thought Draper would’ve been a better match-up for Neale then McDonald, assuming Pearce takes Cameron.

This time last year I was spewing at Worner’s inclusion but he’s worked hard to solidify his spot.

I like Dudley but would’ve thought Murray was the better like-for-like replacement for Fred.

Darcy over Cox is a big call, hope he’s fit.

No Ryan is pretty significant, he was one of JL’s undroppables, hopefully a positive sign re more competition for selection.

It’s not the b23 I would’ve selected but it rarely ever is. Regardless it’s a pretty strong outfit.

age profile looking a little different this year. Finally entering the start of the window where most old enough and experienced enough. Only Reid under 22 and he plays like no other his age. Our midfield are entering their prime years.

Reid (19) Treacy (23) Bolton (27)

Swit (29) PP (22) Wombat (22)

MJ (22) Baesure (26) Wags (28)

Nanny (22) Pearce (30) Clark (25)

Chappie (24) Bridget (29) Worner (23)

Darcy (27) LJ (24) Serong (25)

Chris' bro (23) Nev (22) NOD (23) Ras (22) Young (24)
Still 4th or 5th youngest team on average games played and average age. Pearce the only player over 30, no one has played 200+ games and only 2 over 150 games.

Frustrating.

NOD is the only surprise for me, I guess it shouldn’t be as he and JOM play very similar roles, just no-one has mentioned him as a standout over the summer.

I get the Dudley decision, basically replacing the Reid role forward more so the Frederick role, Bolton can player higher to cover some of the Frederick role and leave Duds closer to goal.

As fans we all want to see the shiny new toys get a game early, but they are 2-3 preseasons behind those picked

Maybe we should give him at least a few games under the new rules before we make that evaluation.

If his body stays right (yes, I know) I can see him being an asset in finals and big games against top 4 rivals, where physicality tends to become crucial.

For example Witts will smash Cox, but Darcy probably shades Witts if he is anywhere near his best.

Not a fan of the nod selection but I’m guessing the weird wings of alphabet stadium has something to do with it. This will be a make or break game for his career hopefully finds his debut season form again because he has all the attributes to be a great player

Duds or noddy done anything to earn selection?

Hopefully we see what mcvee is all about seen nothing exciting yet.
Dudley should be first in line on the back of the work he did last year. Scored goals at critical times and in important matches. If he is even fitter again now, that’s even better.

Wow, no JOM. Didn't see that coming. NOD selected for his gut running, Duds for his burst speed. It highlights Freddy's value to our transition play.

They will want to get NOD back to his best form and run the ball through the guts and onto his left boot as much as possible. He is more of a key piece than we realise.

Make or break? I doubt you select someone in round 1 with that kind of thinking.

He's coming in because we lost some run with Frederick and JOM out.
