I think the AFL are trying to make the time frame more appealing to younger kids, as parents aren't as worried if they aren't out until a minimum of 10:30pm in the city on a Friday night. More money for the AFL, smart peopleHI Footy followers just wondering why is the game on so early 6.10pm doesnt the AFL realise we do have to get home from work and yes I know there is a 2nd game on in adelaide . Please post youre thoughts and replies cya at the game
The best bet would be to get there as early as possible before tickets sold out. Either way, I couldn't give a sh*tDo u rekon there will be many available seats in the social club or will i have to make an effort to get there a bit earlier???
You answered your own question. Shame it is on so early for some i suppose, might change the attendance slightly, but if you really want to be there i'm sure people will find a way to get there. 80000+ people there, 7500+ neutral people there, 60/40 in favour of BLUES fans. GO BLUES...HI Footy followers just wondering why is the game on so early 6.10pm doesnt the AFL realise we do have to get home from work and yes I know there is a 2nd game on in adelaide . 12,000 fans.
Or Adeliade vs. Port Adelaidewe are talking about Carlton vs. Richmond... not St Kilda vs Sydney...

Doubt it.
Two games on the first night of football means TV ratings which means $$$ for the AFL.
A 6.10pm start on the eve of a long weekend is ridiculous! It's hard enough getting to the G for a 7.40pm start on a Friday night with all of the city traffic to contend with. Throw in holiday traffic = DISASTER!
Public transport will be the go, otherwise you may not be there to watch the first bounce.
Park in Bridge Road and walk a few blocks.

More like Melbourne vs North.
