Just on some of the debutants:

Pederson you woull find will play a lot of games this year. Had a solid pre season (97, 58, 19), so has the potential to do well. In terms of job security, they are not around to play 22 games are they? so he could be a good selection. Starting on the ground must mean he is rated by some, right?

Michael Hibberd, I have decided to keep him, be able to transfer him with Goddard, Gibbs and Deledio from the midfield to the backline, which always helps. Should be right by round 2 any ways.

Cameron Richardson will do well, in the Roos best 22 so has job secuirty and could be a real smokey to do really well (ave 70 +).

I'm going to put some faith in Atley. Hibberd given his age seems the safer choice but I just rate Shaun that highly. Hoping we will have a Bastinac-esque season where he just comes straight in and never looks back.

heraldsun web site has already divided the benches into interchange and emergencies for sunday's games...

i didn't think these would get announced till tomorrow afternoon?? are these accurate or have they just randomly assigned them

example:

wilson, schofield, nicoski seems about right for west coast....

Black Thunder.....I think you'll find that when they designed their new format, they only alotted 4 slots for the bench and 3 slots for the Emergencies....much like the official team.

I dont think they took into acct ~ extended benches.

In short....all 7 slots are considered extended benches and NOT Emergencies until the official squad is released 90 mins before the game.

Might sleep on Hibberd out, Liberatore in. God damn my knee jerk reactions.

Beams out, Libba in for me. Beams doesn't look to be that great for SC anyway. Just thought he'd get games.

Is Richardson a stay at home defender or more of the running, rack up possesions type?

Cant decide on my forward bench combo out of Richardson, Tapscott, Darling and Matera.

Richardson is the type that racks up points. The other three are all good picks too. I have Richardson and Matera ATM.

Just a question on Hibberd, if you want him in the team for that reason, why wouldn't you have Heppell in the midfeild to do the same thing. There are heaps of back rookie options. Although I can see your point if your going for the 4 premiums + Otten strategy.

Has played well in Pre season. Should score Ok for a first year player.

Lower should be a good pickup. Has good fitnes, pretty good mark. Should score well.
Cheers RG - I actually traded out Puopolo when he wasn't named, have him pegged as a downgrade target.

Relented and put Libba in my side, ave of 82 over the pre-season puts him ahead of most of the other options. Staring Irons on the park on the back of a better pre-season and have Heppell on the bench, although still worried about the Collingwood factor.

I guess most of us missed the Cunrow train?

If he can back it up next week I'll have to think very hard about bringing him in. It's always difficult - if you don't, did you just miss out on this year's Barlow? Or did you just trade in this year's Beau Muston?

Definitely.

He could score 20 next week and then find himself out. Carlton still have plenty to come back in.
