And away we go. After I don't know how many months footy is back.

A feast awaits. 9 and Fox with live coverage. What will happen to the crowds? Will the money spent by some clubs = success? We will find out all that and more as we move ahead.

Speaking of spending up large, the 9s winners kick the season off against last years Grand Final losers. I think this will be a very good game. For me, the Eels to kick the season off with a win.

Friday night and it's Manly v the Dogs. Hardest game of the round for me to tip, but I'll go with Manly at home.

Super Saturday. Raiders are usually pretty good value at home and I reckon they'll get up over Penrith. The Warriors surely kick the season off with a win for a change? The defending Premiers too strong for the Sharks at home.

Sunday footy kicks off with the Roosters v Souths and I'm going with an upset with for the Roosters. Titans v Knights is anyone's game and the Titans only due to home ground advantage, but not by much.

Monday night footy and what better than to kick it off with a game between two sides who don't really care much for one another. Storm for me.

Got the win, that's all that matters after round 1. Eels were up against it without Foran and then Norman went down they were almost no hope. Not a great performance but it's round 1 and we grinded out the win.

Good start, a long way to go.

Voss' commentary would have been better if he didn't mention 50 times how we lost the Grand Final last year. Milford kicks a field goal " if only Brisbane did that in the Grand Final" or what about at the start of the game, the kick-off and the ball drops to Ben Hunt "if only he did that at the start of Golden Point in the Grand Final"

voss is worse than anyone, he doesn't know half the ****ing rules. someone dig up the thread from last year where i ranted about voss not knowing the definition of a double movement.

Vossey's problem is he learned everything he knows from those fossils and just repeats their innate bullshit.
