He won't be playing at the SCG too often this year.

Yeah this is huge for his scoring. I never really considered how many games he will be playing at the G this year. With the amount of ball that the carlton backline is exposed to, he should be very close to top 6 defender.

Yeah this is huge for his scoring. I never really considered how many games he will be playing at the G this year. With the amount of ball that the carlton backline is exposed to, he should be very close to top 6 defender.

Though the concerning thing there was he got most of his points when in the ruck and he didn't get too many minutes in there, mainly just in the first and last quarters. Seemed to struggle forward, though Lynch and Riewoldt got bugger all footy too.

All well, every year rookie corrections are made early on, hopefully it's just the one

Gibbons got most of his points in the second and last quarters too. Will just score in bursts, but hopefully 40 odd is his floor and we see some 50s and 60s from him the next few weeks

Could've been a nearly night for him, hence I'm happy to watch again next week. The scoring ceiling is definitely there if he puts it together, just the floor is an issue too.

Hopefully don't get a late withdrawal this week though lol, 29 isn't an ideal emergency score.

Yeah we also would need someone viable to trade him to. If PutridJelly stinks it up and Burgess isn't any better there may not be a ton of options to switch him with so let's see how the rest of the round shakes out first before we start issuing him with a pink slip. At least we know he's definitely not a field option for anyone who went there.

Yep

Miers and Hore (via Burgess) are the only two who I'd consider moving him on for if they look like busting out say 60s 70s

Interesting, that 29 potentially is a 45-50 if he's on the field 75-80% like most players
