If I do not get to go to this game then the first 6 weeks looks like it will be a wipe out for me :(
Round 2 Away in Adelaide.
Round 3 I will be in Sydney. We play at home.
Round 4 when we do play Sydney I will be in Queensland .
Round 5 when we play in Brisbane I will be back home.
:mad::mad::mad::mad:
To top it off if Anzac Day is not full capacity then chances of getting a ticket to a Collingwood home game despite being an 18 game member will be slim.

Possible Essendon side:

Aaron Francis - KD1 - Jordan Ridley
Mason Redman - Michael Hurley - Nick Hind
Kyle Langford - Darcy Parish - Zachary Merrett
Archie Perkins - James Stewart - William Snelling
Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti - Peter Wright - Jake Stringer
Sam Draper - Andrew McGrath - Dylan Shiel
Devon Smith - Jye Caldwell - SD3 - OM3

KD1: Paddy Ambrose/Brandon Zerk-Thatcher/Cale Hooker/Zach Reid
SD3: Matt Guelfi/Martin Gleeson/Ross McQuillan
OM3: Dyson Heppell/Brayden Ham/Ned Cahill

The first is obviously the first choice. The last one on each list is a possible bolter if they do well pre-season. Cahill more like, if Ham and Heppell are out, Snelling plays on a wing kind of situation.

Possible Hawthorne side:

Blake Hardwick - KD1 - Denver Grainger-Barrass
Will Day - Sam Frost - Shaun Burgoyne
James Cousins - Tom Mitchell - Tom Phillips
Oliver Hanrahan - Tim O'Brien - Chad Wingard
Luke Breust - KF1 - KF3
Ben McEvoy - Liam Shiels - Jaeger O'Meara
Tom Scully - James Worpel - IM5 - SD3

KD1: Jacob Koschitzke/Michael Hartley/Kyle Hartigan
KF1/3: 2x Lewis Mitchell/Jonathan Patton/Emerson Jeka/Conor Nash/Jonathan Ceglar
IM5: Finn Maginness/Daniel Howe/Connor Downie
SD3: Changkuoth Jiath/Damon Greaves/Harry Pepper

If I were them I'd play Kosi, Mitchell, Jeka, Maginness and Jiath. But we know they'll pick Hartigan, Patton, Ceglar, Howe and probably still Jiath

Greaves, Scrimshaw, Hartigan and Impey will play, assuming fit.

Played late last year.
That's Sicily.
I know Sicily is out for a while, but I thought Impey injured himself again and was out for a long time.

He had a rib injury that prevented him from finishing the season, but I think he's fine for the pre-season.
Okay. I'm not fussed either way, he won't make a huge difference to the result.

I've got Merrett playing inside mate. Too good to be plonked on a wing.
Heppell the interesting one for me. Where does he fit now?
Also, do you persist with Hurley and Hooker, when you need to develop BZT and Francis?
He plays better outside.
As a midfielder
Hurley will play, alongside Ambrose if fit.

Hawks supporters laughing their arses off that Sheedy is back at the club - and ex players Wellman and Madden are still on the board. I must admit I feel like we are hanging into our past glory days a little given we have had sooooo much mediocrity since 2000. I’m not sure what to think about this game

Don’t really care what they laugh at since they’ll be in the same boat in 5-10 years, if they aren’t already.

We might be making an error or hanging onto the past with those appointments but at least we don’t have Kennett.

A round one spanking of the hawks. Perkins three goals. Caldwell 30 touches.

A significant fade out between rounds 2 and 8.

YESSSSSS.
