Hawkes have laid a turd, but we’ve sprayed it with air freshener and carved it into something decent looking.

The signs in the first half were extremely positive for mine. Obviously reaped the rewards there.

Hawthorn are barely training standard but you can see Essendon want to hunt and play with intensity. Aside from
the tackling and chasing, the best example was Langford taking ground aggressively before kicking, instead of dawdling as per usual.
