What a win!!!

So many positives to come out of that game.

Moloney was sensational. What a player he is going to be for our club.

Miller really lead the way IMO. Just keeps improving.

Rivers and Fergy looked like a good defensive combination after Ferguson started to get some confidence up.

Bruce taking himself out of the game to completely reduce Hird's influence on
the game was extremely pleasing for me. Showed a lot of leadership in doing that.

Sylvia, McLean and Jamar showed a bit during the game.

I really can't say anyone had a bad game (although my patience with Heffernan is running out).

Looking forward to Round 2 against the Doggies. :)

Really positive signs with our youngsters.

Miller was fantastic at centre half forward! 20 possessions, 11 marks and 2 goals. That is a sensational game in any forwards book. He also got involved in a few fights which is good to see. He has aggression and leadership.

Rivers looked like a 200 game veteran. His reading of the play is sensational, he gets to the right contest, takes strong marks and spoils well. Confident with the ball coming out of the backline. We've got a star on our hands here.

Ferguson reminded me of Rivers in 2004. Courageous player who ran back into packs and took gutsy marks. Won 22 possessions which is impressive for any full back. At 23, he is ready to take over the mantle from Nicholson at full back.

McLean had a good game, not a sand out like some of his pre-season ones, but good nevertheless. 15 possies and he always looks composed with the ball. Rarely fumbles or makes silly mistakes.

Sylvia was good too, quiet at times but he didn't get as much game time as McLean. However, like Brock, he looks good when he has the ball and didn't crumble under the pressure. Good to see Neale giving him a good go.

Jamar is a man mountain and inserted himself into several pack situations several times. Solid in the ruck, he took so good grabs and made a contest every time. Looking good for the Russian.

Davey kicked 2, could have kicked 4. But he will just get better and better. Still doing the one percenters around the ground, just needs to get a smoother head on his shoulders some times when he runs with the ball.

Great win!

GO DEMONS!
