I thought that they were pretty good odds too.

Considering that we are up and have had a pretty good preseason and Collingwood aren’t exactly expected to do anything wonderful this year I'd say they the odds look very appealing.

The Pies are not short enough for mine, we should be paying about $3 and them $1.30.

In round 1 I can see us having about 10 blokes with under 40 games to their name.

Can't see us winning.

i think that 2.40 whoch i saw last night is good odds to get on at. both sides are going to be undermanned and if harro has a field day and gets first use of the ball we are a big chance.

Also roos 2 score da first goal is a fair 1.

Better odds-betting 4 quarter scores
eg pick Roos/coll/coll/Roos-26/1
eg pick COLL/ROOS/COLL/ROOS 26/1
we rarely win 4 quarters of footy!
Money 4 jam-made fortune last year
over + out

So if the Pies win for an investment of $40 you will get $30 back that looks like a loss to me of $10.
Good to see you had the logic Harris.

I'm on, Kangas and round 1 are normally good and the 'Pies are nothing special. :thumbsu:

Re: Round 1 INSTANT RECALL

Something interesting i read the other day,North have won their opening game for the past 5 years
I can't believe you NEEDED to read that. That first one was EXTRA SPECIAL.
North played with so much conviction that night that was also Glenn Archer's 200th. The second one was the debut of JYD's first game as coach...and a guy named John Baird rose to the challenge. The third one was another treat...David King giving Carey something to think about as Browny had a party in front of the sticks. Fourth one was highlighted by Sav's MONSTER CLIMB and one handed grab over ex-North players in Carlton jumpers...the Blues had just won the Wiz Cup. Last year we gave Port Adel a HANDY start and still BURIED THEM with a late goal flurry. This is something I don't need the media needed to remind me...infact, I doubt they can recall what happened last year in Round 1.
